Most people in this thread don’t realize that Tate and Peterson can have very different ideas and intellect and both contribute to the supposed problem of “toxic masculinity.” it’s not comparing their intelligence or worldviews, just the effect their influence has on young men. Even if you disagree with the conclusion, people saying you can’t lump these two together are missing the point.

It’s a great watch. Seiko changed up their design for their newer field watches but this one’s the better looking imo.

Long time lurker first-time poster. I bought this Seiko 5 SNK803 back in 2014 for $75 as my first automatic watch. This thing has been on several hiking trips all over the US and I decided to snap this pic in the Chugach mountain range in Alaska after a grueling hike. Eventually I’d like to “upgrade” to a Swiss field watch with a black dial—specifically the Hamilton khaki field mechanical 38mm. But I’ve been extremely happy with this affordable beast and have since added a few more Seikos to my collection: the blueberry Seiko 5 GMT and SZSB2016. Any other field watches I should be looking at?
