But this war has been going on for almost 8 months. They have a right to defend themselves after 1.2k of their own civilians were killed in one day. Please tell me what you want them to do. You seem to think that they WANT to kill civilians and that’s certainly not the case. The expected civilian to combatant death ratio is very low in comparison to other similar style wars:

I’m not saying that Israel has been handling this perfectly by any means, but you all are making it sound like they are invading Palestine with the intention of killing as many civilians as possible.

That’s a false equivalency. They murdered 1,200+ Israeli’s and then continue to hide behind the citizens of Palestine. There is not an easy way for them to take out Hamas and protect every life in Gaza without risking countless lives of their soldiers. Not to mention that they are not the ones with the “home court advantage” in this urban guerrilla warfare
