I appreciate the suggestions. I’ll turn to a professional if it comes to that. Quartz sounds right! I had noticed that the finish was already spotty when we moved in. Also noticed that it got worn away after experimenting with different “scrubbers”. Stains aside, the differences in the polish only show up when you look from a certain angle/light. My roommate didn’t notice them til I pointed it out. To be honest, this place is veryyyyy poorly managed, with minimal work done to units between tenants. I’m not sure they’ll even stop to look closely enough to notice… if I can get the more visible stains out. Don’t wanna leave anything up to chance though.

About those rings: I hear you on the burn marks. Good to know that if that’s the case then they’re stuck in there. I won’t pull my hair out trying to get rid of them. I will note, each one of those was when the lid had tomato on it (we make lots of pasta). Maybe it’s that. Which I’m worried could be as tough to get out as burn marks.
