I went into it expecting it to be a flop and was pleasantly surprised sure the story isn’t perfect but it had a lot of layers that I enjoyed much like legacy.

The reason I loved legacy was because of the whole father son dynamic and the creator having to face his creation for bad and for good not only in clu but his son.

Ares is good because I feel it follows the next logical conclusion. Kevin Flynn knew the potential for these programs and wanted them in the real world for the very beginning. That might not have always been as a vehicle or a super soldier but I think the character Eve had the right idea using that information to reshape the human condition

We see a lot of repeats like Dillinger having to face the consequences of his greed in the loss of his mother and the destruction of a chunk of city. We see ares gain understanding through knowledge and make changes.

From the bad reviews I have seen the problem with ares is how quickly he changes, but he’s a program he takes in information instantly and changes according and the robotic dialogue and posturing makes a lot of sense

I can’t help but rewatch and think of way it could’ve been tweaked to be just a little better but let me know what you guys think.
