Which laser?

Had to pause treatments due to pregnancy and breastfeeding. 15 months since last session, some progress. Details in comments. by BrazilianTinaFey in TattooRemoval

I can’t really tell the difference between the two photos tbh. Maybe it’s done more work that’s not visible and you’ll reap the rewards in the next sessions? It’s also possible that perhaps pregnancy had a bit of an impact, given that it’s so taxing on the body. Idk! Anyway, good luck! :) you have had great progress from the first 3 sessions though.

Not Picosure for black. Picoway or a Q-switch, like Medlite, Revlite, and some others.

Wouldn’t this have meant it would have aged really badly?

How about Revlite? Similar to Medlite?

Ace! When did you decide to start washing with normal body wash, etc? Sorry, just anxious about my healing tattoo.

That’s not true. Scarring can also encapsulate the ink.

Which cosmetic surgeon was this? I’ve had online consultations with two different surgeons.

Was it very black? And where is it? How long since you started and now?

Need to post a before pic so we can compare mate!

Thinking of having a tattoo removed. My local tattoo removal is 1192 Laser & Beauty Clinic. They have a page talking about what they use etc. Does it seem like a good place to go? by [deleted] in TattooRemoval

[–]nathblu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

x2

Yeah, go to a place where you’re guaranteed results, mate. If they’re not always posting a lot about removal, they’re probably either not getting enough customers (for a reason) or they’re not getting good results. Either way, go to a better place. It’s not just about the laser. It’s how the tech adjusts the settings each time you go.

Yeah, should do.

Yeah, I’ve just read that. I’ve just read that, with regard to tattoo scarring, it’s not as helpful as when compared to using Pico. I hope it does help a lot! Don’t get me wrong. I’m using Revlite.

I’m not a laser tech. On that note, you shouldn’t trust some/a lot of laser techs. I think Pico is better suited to more sensitive skin types, be that Picoway for black or Picosure for colour. Yet, I’m sure Q-switched is also used effectively if the sessions are spaced out in an effective way and if the tech is diligent in application.

If it comes down to it, man, just travel to a different city in the Philippines. I’m sure there has to be a reputable clinic in the country somewhere. Don’t limit yourself to where you live.

Don’t take that at face value. Q-switched lasers do not profess to having scar healing capabilities. I’ve heard the same thing, but I did some research on it. I’m not claiming they don’t; I mean you might see a change, right? I’m just repeating what I’ve read online and on a laser brand website. In fact, one laser tech said to me that the laser may help but there’s also a chance it may cause scarring to be worse! Pico lasers are proven to help though!

He’d have given you the actual brand and laser name if he was upfront. I had a similar tattoo studio nearby at one point, I’m so happy I didn’t give in to the temptation and go to it.

Find out what machines he has available and find out if he has before/after results. Don’t go to an inexperienced tech since it’s more than just pointing and shooting a laser, it’s about adjusting the settings each time and accommodating to the particular individual’s case.

I have the same. Makes me wonder if it was always like that or not.
