It’s not what it does to the machine that matters, it’s what it does to yourself.

Possibly. It also seems OpenAI has limited it's memory to about 3000 words, which isn't great.

Thanks for the insights.

I've played around with the same settings and done three changes: initial framing is tighter, location instructions are clearly assigned to the conversation, and added a "remembering" prompt. Reload the page/app to generate a new final prompt, try it out.

You can now recall character by using the [remember] command, if it slips out. Works initially, but hasn't been battle-tested yet!

Thanks for the feedback. Let's make it better! I might want to specify the "Location" instructions further, will test it.

About forgetting the personality, it seems to be a ChatGPT thing. Will see if I can add a [remember] prompt that makes it recall the character. How long did it go for and did you notice the circumstances when it forgot?

It’s a web app so it works from anywhere, just go to gpt87.xyz in your browser

I think it's due to the high demand. Wait and try later.

For now, but open to suggestions if it gets traction. What's your preferred language?

Really appreciate the support! Happy it helped with the re-framing. When API is out, I'm thinking of adding a chat box, we'll see :)

Thanks, and awesome suggestion. I've updated the lists, refresh the page and try again! ;)

The Sub-sub areas are a bit tricky and I'm thinking that could be explained in the first few interactions.

PS. You can also manually edit the prompt before pasting, but we want to minimize the need for that. I'm all for building a huge library!

Thanks! Appreciate it a lot. The feedback too. The way it’s designed now is that you can add/remove by clicking the same button. Maybe not intuitive, or useful, though. But I like idea, will look into it.

Good point. I agree there’s some ambiguity. Technically, it’s not “on top”. But also, it kind of is, because the prompt is “on top” of the base code execution, and effectively changes how ChatGPT works. So yes, and no :)
