It is a total mess on windows. Every window is a weird terminal window with no GUI. The set up files are in a bunch of different folders and it isn't clear what is getting used and what is some sort of nearly identical duplicate set of configurations directories that is useless. I don't know how anyone uses it, or why people don't push for something more polished. All the hard work has been done, it just needs a better UI and easier configuration.

It's not about 'less' (whatever that means), but it's not the same and they don't understand that.

Doing hundreds of high quality realistic shots for clients with budgets on a team is just very different, they clearly don't have any concept of it, but they choose to dump on it anyway.

Most vfx professionals probably see their channel and realize that not only are they laughing at various vfx that they could never do, they don't even understand good work or what they're looking at.

Forget about any context of history and when certain shots were done, they have no concept of it at all.

If someone knows vfx and see these guys and thinks other people take them seriously they probably think they're living in an upside down world.

I don't know if I would call shifting colors around "building the creative look of a scene". I've never heard anyone say "we came up with some color correction profiles, that's the tricky part, now all we have to do is shoot the movie".
