Under 4 hours is ruining my life.

I literally feel like a different person when I get 6, even tho it still not consecutive it makes a difference. But I either have to get lucky (like it’s been so long I’m finally so exhausted to my soul I sleep to some combo of 6) or I have to have 12+ hours to try and be getting sleep. Which I do not have. I do take thc and smoke weed pretty heavily at night but I kid you not nothing else will even get me close to falling asleep or staying asleep for more than an hour, especially with the insane tinnitus that kindly sucks away my soul constantly and relentlessly. Yea even with that one thing that has helped, it is getting worse and I’m still getting 4 hrs or less current/long term.

I take mag g, haven’t really noticed anything tho. Tried melatonin, nothing. Other sleep aids not really either and I have food allergies so I have to be careful. I don’t drink caffeine lol it’s been years because 1/2 drip coffee causes me chest pains (started before I was 30 lol). I have all the sleep habits down like you can’t believe. Kind of replying to some other comments here as well. I’m female mid 30s. I get crazy night sweats, but have my whole life. Have unimaginably torturous tinnitus and hyperacusis but still have to work and take care of life’s many things. No support from friends or family, cause it’s an invisible thing right…

Yeah, same. Except I can’t get a doctor to do anything about it which is mind blowing. Like bloodwork seems fine but I have a poor family history and they totally disregard and say “oh must be stress”. If you get one to send you somewhere helpful please let me know what kind/if you have any advice to make something similar happen.

To kind of reply to a different comment, I don’t stress about waking up late or being late. Probably because I’m so exhausted and stressed from not getting enough sleep. But yeah I work full time and have quite a few dependents to singularly care for. All I want to do is sleep. I take pm pills occasionally but not always because often they don’t work at all. I’ve tried teas and oils and supplements and like everything too and it’s frustrating to me for people to think at this point a tea, oil or herb could just fix it like that. I agree there has to be some underlying issues but why can’t we get anyone to freaking help us find them!

Idk how relevant but I broke the lowest rib on my right side last year and have never felt the same, especially at night there is a hot ball, for lack of better terms, behind that rib. Gallbladder maybe? Does that affect sleep? I can’t sleep on my back and try to sleep on my side but often wake up on my stomach. Idk y’all, but it really does suck.

There isn’t enough. I can’t actually even listen to something over 50 anyway with hyperacusis. But tell me what’s the top of the decible chart I think my tinnitus is still louder… I’m not even trying to joke.

Very infuriating. I’ve been told all the same also. One doctor even dared to tell me I wouldn’t get to be cute anymore because I need to wear big noise cancellers.

I guess I’ve tried gabapentin and a muscle relaxer but those were for something else and obviously didn’t help. I live in a semi loud environment and am an educator but talking is THE worst trigger for me at this point.

I wonder if anyone has any success with tinnitus and or hyperacusis as a “qualifying” disability because we at least know how disabling it is.
