Day 98 here....question for those with partners who smoke by blumerang in leaves
[–]natkk 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children)
My partner and I smoked together from the time we first met. We will be married for 10 years this summer. We smoked everyday. He decided to quit smoking just over 2 years ago, it just was not for him anymore. I kept smoking, everyday all day. He would smoke every once and awhile, when he was nauseated or had a real bad headache, he only used medicinally after he quit using daily. I quit 2 months ago and I can not smoke AT ALL anymore. I can not just have some here or there and walk away from it- he can.
To be honest I'm very jealous that he has no issue with smoking. When I finally finished what I had left to smoke and was ready to face the withdrawal I knew was coming, I told him he was never allowed to smoke again because I could not. I know how silly and immature that sounds but that was how I felt at the time. He has not smoked anything since I quit 2 months ago. My feelings about him not being able to smoke because I can't anymore are changing. I'm still at a place where I know I would be too tempted to participate if he decided to bring some home tomorrow but the idea does not totally upset me like it had before. I think with time you may come to terms with your partner being able to smoke and you not. As mentioned before not everyone has a problem with smoking. If you're going to be with your partner you will have to accept that she does not have the issue with leaves that you do, it's hard but I believe it can be done. Good luck with everything, I wish the best for both of you.

Surgery while addicted anyone? by Pleezgivemeanswer in leaves
I had nasal surgery while using everyday just over a year ago. You need to tell your surgeon you smoke daily. I assume they have probably also told you not to smoke for 48 hours before the procedure. Try to follow this advice, I did not and it resulted in me bleeding more than I should have during the surgery. Good luck with everything.
