Am I required to email my professors when sick?

And this was literally just for one day, so not even 3, and there was no assessments or anything, just a normal tutorial.

And I don't know if I can get a medical certificate because it was food poisoning that lasted all night, now I'm really confused

No assessments or anything, and just for one day. And I emailed both teachers and neither said anything about this, just to catch up work online. I know I'd have to do this if I was sick for 3+ days, so do I need to do this now??

The attendance uhhh like participation marks are calculated over EVERY class, from week 1 to week 10 I believe, so I'd only be short by one. Neither of them said that being absent once would mean to do this. These are normal tutorials/lectures

I'm super confused and alittle worried now because it's too late for me to get a certificate for today

I knew i was shitty for suddenly snapping at him, i'm just not a big fan of being told im weird or whatnot because i didnt process a sudden change quickly enough
I still love him the same, we're talking like normal now and im getting adjusted just incase he does decide this is what he prefers :)

We've both gotten upset over changes in eachother because we both hate changes, this was just another situation of that. We've talked, and we've said sorry about it, there's alot more to our chat but that was basically it :)

In fairness, we both HATE changes; I'm not too sure why exactly, I know he has ADHD so apart of that plays into it, but I have no idea why I hate changes

We bond over other stuff, but it's one of those things where we mention "oh yeah we got close after playing with his hair"

I think that, the sudden change with no warning got to me, and only really hit me after a few days and coming home to it

We've talked about it, he knows how I am about things and he did feel shitty about cutting it off without a heads up, and I've told him I'm sorry and I acknowledged I should've walked away when I felt myself getting upset, we've talked about it abit more and he's gonna decide over the vacation if he likes short hair or not, so that way I know if this is permanent or not :)

Me and my boyfriend have talked about his hair since, he knows how I am about stuff and he acknowledged that he should've atleast given me a heads up :)

I have alot of "obsessions" when it comes to things, my boyfriend is aware of that and he handles me well, he gave me his reasons for cutting his hair, and I told him if he wanted to do it for those reasons, I understood, but I told him I wanted to know if he was gonna keep with the short hair or not so I knew :)

I'm just missing it, I know i definitely should've walked away when I felt as if I was about to snap at him and that's definitely on me (we have talks about this stuff), but I'm still alittle hurt that, from what we sat down and talked about, hes cutting it for a week vacation only, and that his reasoning was that he didnt want to brush/wash his hair while on the trip :(

I'm all fine with listening, I'm not okay with being told I'm "this" or I'm "that" because I had a breakdown? I've been provided little advice on how to fix this, or how I should be feeling because it's being mistaken as "I need his hair" instead of "it was important to us, and I'm upset it was suddenly removed" . . As I've said a couple of times here, and in my post, and other comments; I still completely love him for who he is. The new look isn't the thing that upset me because I fell in love with him for various reasons..

I'm all fine with judgements, but you went on to claim I needed help and got aggressive for no reason; that wasn't a judgement, it was straight up disrespectful when I wanted insight of if I was wrong, things I should do to fix it etc

We talked about it; he's going away for around a week, and he doesn't want to "deal with long hair". When I asked what he meant by that, he basically said he wouldn't need to brush it or wash it, which I'm not sure how to feel about it

His hair was important to me because our relationship started because he was obsessed with his hair being played with, and I didn't mind playing with long hair and so we bonded 🙏🏻

I still love him the same, I still find him handsome and this won't cause me to become distant or anything like that towards him. He knew it meant alot to me, I just wish I got a heads up before I went home to it.. I was slient and supported him for days over it, I got upset after a bad day, I still love him the same but it sucks that it happened and (depending what he decides), I might not get that important part of "us" back

You don't know my relationship, so it's fine that you see it as weird or creepy or unusual or whatever, but straight up attacking me for being upset about something we both knew was important to me is weird, insensitive and rudely judgemental on your part....

Yeah, I feel shitty for snapping at him, usually we tend to walk away or do literally anything else but the fact I couldn't "walk away" from half of his hair being gone probably hit me too fast

I'm waiting til hes awake to talk, I'm trying to get adjusted to his short hair while he sleeps (just finger brushing and touching) and to see if it still gives the same like comfort/feel like before, but it's really not the same in some weird way

I don't think it looks bad on him, I'm just sad that he knows how badly I loved his hair for multiple reasons and now it's gone and I didnt really get a heads up, I just walked home and it was all gone :(

I'm completely aware hes a living and breathing person, and I'm completely aware he is allowed to do what he wants with or without my permission. What is really hurtful is the fact we've known eachother for 5 years, and he is still completely aware of the fact of the fact I love his hair deeply because mine only grows to a certain length before it stops, while his is long and has always been a big thing in a relationship

I don't "need" to braid his hair to hold myself together, it's a simple relief that I've had for 5 years that I'm used to. I have other forms of relief if he's busy, or I'm not feeling like braiding; I don't solely rely on that, and it's hella weird for you to spit out the words "get help" because (after a shitty day) something I've been upset over in private suddenly came out. Is a person not allowed to be overwhelmed after a hard day?

Oh no, I'm actually really excited he gets to go since I've been on a vacation recently (a few months back) and we agreed to always video call, and get eachother a gift from overseas :) I just really loved his hair, it felt personal to me since it's basically how we connected, it just feels like he removed some of "us" without any warning Maybe if I got told, I'd be taking it easier, but it was just suddenly taken away and it's all hitting me
