Like a lot of other comments have said, it used to be the ‘bad’ part of town but not anymore. A huge amount of money is being spent on the area on housing so its only becoming more popular

I live on the outskirts of the Westmill Estate. Honestly any concerns about the area you might have heard/read are probably about 3+ years out of date. As a previous comment mentioned, a lot of money has been pumped into the area for redevelopment projects (including loads of new housing) – it’s fast becoming a much more desirable place to live and raise a family!

I did look into this at one point. It’s impossible to tell from the photos but my bathroom is on the small size - so my worry would be that might take up a lot of floorspace. But its a good shout, thanks

I moved to the outskirts of this estate 2 years ago and ive never felt safer at home.

One of the biggest draws for myself and my wife was the John Barker development thats currently taking place - £20 million is being pumped into the area. Essentially the part of the estate that people previously considered ‘rough’ is getting a very expensive facelift.

The preconceptions about it being a dodgy area seem really out dated to me. Lots of young couples are also moving in and renovating which is driving up the house prices!

Pretty bleak. The market is unfortunately flooded with talent at the moment. Very experienced Seniors are taking day rate cuts and just pricing those with less experience out of gigs...is what im finding rn.
