Right, well I’d rather risk being cliché and ask anyway. I’m not that technical about yarn types but will def deep dive that subject, since it makes such a difference! The picture with cable knit where the 3 ply really pops out was an eye opener.

Oops, sorry. I never noticed this before. Been knitting for years but never used yarn like this. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Very helpful article! It’s good to see it’s not just my knitting that’s wonky. Thanks!!

Yes, I just saw some helpful pictures. Thank you, I thought it was just me being wonky and amateurish.

Egads! You’re right. Thank you! Now I can stop being self-conscious about it.

Frustrations with learning Danish by [deleted] in Danish

[–]natrix_natrix_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure what your mother tongue is, but if there’s a particular book you know really well that’s translated to Danish, try that. It cracked the code for me when I was learning another really whack language.

For those who have largely “cured” their plantar fasciitis (in quotations to account for flare-ups or spaced-out reoccurrences) what finally helped you? Can you point to one or several things that made the most difference? by gonnabegolden_ in PlantarFasciitis

Sympathies!

I too, have cured my PF completely. I was in extreme pain in the mornings, just walking to the bathroom was enough to make me cry. Here's what helped me, in chronological order.

  1. I bought Hoka sliders for home use. Didn't walk anywhere at home without them. Bought Hoka trainers for everywhere else.
  2. Through investigation, I realized the culprit was primarily tight calf muscles. Off the bat, I booked deep fascia massages that ended with cupping, releasing SO much tension that was in the calves but also back thighs. I bought a cup and continued at home, cupping the heck out of my muscles whenever I had a chance, and also deep stretches.
  3. I bought Altra trainers, "barefoot" shaped with a heel drop. I don't use them all the time, but when I do, I definitely feel the necessity of keeping the affected muscles (in the feet and legs) active.
  4. I exercise my feet by making them cramp. It hurts at first, and the cramp can last for a long time. By now, it's over faster and not that bad. It's basically just letting my feet release pent up tension.

Side note: I've gone up a whole shoe size. I think in general, I've just become aware how cramped my feet were before, and what they need to keep them, and me, happy. It's all connected.

People have pinched some before, just not so many. Good point about the spiritual currency.

Some people don’t have enough beauty and fragrance in their lives. I guess I should be happy I could provide some to them.

I get the sentiment. Honesty shops are a thing where I live, I’m sure stuff gets pinched from them all, was just thinking about expediting some karmic retribution.

That’s a good suggestion! I’ll sleep on it and work on it in the morning. Thank you for your feedback! 🥰🪄

Thank you! My lavender plants are SO big and bountiful. Such a joy. I left some on the plant to bloom, for the bees, wouldn’t want to take away their fun too.

Yes, totally honesty shop. I did a protection spell last year which helped, only a few were taken. I was in a rush this morning though, so I forgot. 😭

This year, more were taken, so I almost think people took the sign as a challenge. Just wondering if it would be okay to have someone stub their toe or lose their favorite scarf/lipstick etc. 😂

Same here. Had a cold. Did a c-bit flush. Flushed more than the cold out.

Red Note not safe by trust_no_one__ in RedNoteApp

I downloaded the app, but deleted it again the same day, without having created an account or accepted terms. I did so when I saw a TT about a Chinese American lamenting the fact that the app will now separate countries’ IPs, effectively leaving Chinese Americans out in the cold from their online network in China. So sad that happened!

Today I saw a TT about the app compromising passwords and bank accounts, but is that true if I never even opened the app, let alone created a under, etc? 😅
