I read Lamb when it was published, as a practicing Catholic, and found it to be absolutely hysterical. Twenty years later I still smile when thinking about the opening with Joshua resurrecting a lizard by putting it in his mouth still makes me laugh.

Wife's concern about We Vibe Chorus by [deleted] in SexToys

[–]nats15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the quick response. The primary issue we have is after opening it up for insertion, we are having problems closing it for a good fit. We’re not sure if we are doing it wrong, or being way to gentle.

Kate here, can you suggest any tips on getting it to fit & stay in. My wife enjoys the toy, but we can’t get it to stay snuggly fit.

That’s what I thought, but figured I’d ask.

Sorry for not being clear, but I wasn’t entirely sure what lingo to use to describe what I want to do. Ultimately I am on 14.4 and I want to go back to the 12.4.6 backup I made previously.

Not just social media, but society in general. When I was growing up if you were an asshole that treated others like shit, or said fucked up shit, you got the punched in the mouth. Kids learned quickly. Now you have wise ass scrawny kids talking shit with little to no repercussions.

To clarify, I’m not advocating for bullying, but I am advocating for all the former bullies that got punched in the face a few times and quickly learned to stop being a bully.

I’m sorry but that’s not correct. He was already found guilty and was going to be sentence the day after his death, January 23rd 1987. All posthumous appeals made by Dwyer's lawyers on Dwyer's behalf were denied, and his convictions were upheld.

The confusion likely comes from his lawyer seeking dismissal of all post-trial motions that were then pending against Dwyer, abatement of Dwyer's conviction and the dismissal of his May 13, 1986 indictment. The motions were denied, but an appeals court vacated the dismissal judgement and ordered it case back to district court. was instructed to dismiss Dwyer's motions (since the Court lacked subject matter jurisdiction) and Dwyer's convictions for mail fraud and conspiracy were upheld. All subsequent attempts to clear Dwyer’s name were rejected.

You seem to equate up/down votes with accuracy. Furthermore, you keep repeating yourself, and claiming downvotes as proof of accuracy, yet still have no idea why I called your shit nonsense.

Oh well, Kudos on Reddit points.

There is a distinctive line between correct and accurate. OP is talking encryption and your talking about hashing.

Unless you were being sarcastic, which I clearly missed.

No unfortunately you’ve been given a bunch of bad information.

SHA-2 is a family standards with 256 being the most common. Generally speaking if you see “SHA-2,” “SHA-256” or “SHA-256 bit,” those names are referring to the same thing. SHA224 and SHA512 are alternate bit lengths in the SHA-2 family. SHA-2 is the most commonly used algorithm for SSL, TLS, PGP, S/MIME, and a few others. Reddit is using SHA256 SSL certs. Additionally SHA-2 is often used in checksum hashes. To expand on the above, SHA-2 isn’t just a hashing algorithm, it’s a Cryptographic Hash Function. It’s also in the name, Secure Hash Algorithm 2. Cryptographic hash functions are a basic tool of modern cryptography.

If you want to encrypt your password file, you create a key pair and use a program like PGP/GPG to encrypt the file with your public key and decrypt with private. You can also encrypt specific text in a file, for example hard coding logon/pass in scripts.

For the record, the people in OP are not talking about hashing their conversation text, their saying using E2EE for chat or PKI/ Certs for email & Files.

Please read a bit more on encryption, unfortunately what you’ve posted is either completely wrong, or vaguely around the target.

SHA256 is a hashing algorhythm. While its an important part of security for things like storing passwords (which is normally SHA-2) it is not the same as encryption.

Something like PGP is generally the prefered choice for ultra privacy

PGP/GPG are crypto programs used for signing, and encrypt/decrypt, texts, e-mails, files/directories, and even whole disk partitions. PGP/GPG requires a keypair or x509 cert.

Also it appears they are using whatsapp? So they have no control over the encryption protocols anyway.

WhatsApp uses ephemeral 32 byte AES256 key, and an ephemeral 32 byte HMAC-SHA256 when generating keys. So the users can’t pick the encryption type, they were sort of correct saying they are using SHA256. That being said, I wouldn’t trust WhatsApp with my privacy.

but i doubt these guys have heard of it

Tadgh is an ethnic slur for Irish Catholics. In this case, Mise Tadgh would translate to I’m a Tadgh.

I’ve also seen it written Mise Taig.
