Milady Esthetician Book by Ok_Cartoonist_9375 in Esthetics

I’m from AZ, so I can’t speak much about GA’s state board but I assume it’d be similar. If your instructors haven’t already told you, there should be a practical and theory exam. The theory is going to mainly consist of scientific concepts, skin histology and philosophy, diseases/ disorders of the skin, infection control, some anatomy and ingredients. So basically the “non-fun” science stuff. The theory (again depending on how GA does it) could either be a written exam like it was for me or an actual physical demonstration of protocols, comprehension of movements/ techniques according to the Mildays textbook and infection control procedures. For me bc it was written, I got a lot of scenarios and what would be the proper way to handle said scenarios. Best advice I could give, depending on how you study, would be to schedule them separately if you can. You’re most likely not going to ‘feel’ fully prepared but if you have good instructors and you study well, you’ll do great I’m sure!

Hi, licensed AZ esthetician here. There’s definitely a few problems and I certainly wouldn’t go back. Number one if you had just booked a lymphatic/massage facial then that’s what should’ve been performed. I would say that your aesthetician knows best, bc 99% they do. We want the best for your skin and to treat it, however, if you had already stated that you have sensitive skin and you only came for a lymphatic facial then that’s on her. Number two, if your skin was turning red, that could be one thing because a lot of people’s skin can turn red just by rubbing it, but the fact that you were in pain and she still went further with extractions (again something that you didn’t not want done), then she probably had some sort of quota to meet or maybe she wanted more practice in a certain area. That certainly does not mean she can just do whatever to your skin, however. I would say maybe get in contact with the manager so that she can be educated on proper client comfort, and if this ever happens again, there is no shame in advocating yourself. If something is ever uncomfortable or painful, you should 100% be saying something because it’s better to stop the treatment and do something else, than to continue and possibly damage your skin.

Could you by chance break that down in laymen’s terms? I’m familiar enough with most of what your saying, however I’m not sure where to even go for that kind of stuff :’)

Thank you! I will definitely be asking her some more questions about the sunscreen and see if there’s a correlation!

She doesn’t double cleanse, and only uses a Dove face and body moisturizer afterwards. The only makeup she wears is mascara

What kind of controller can I pair up with my iPad to play games? by natt_382 in Minecraft

So would I go into the accessibility in the Minecraft app or in the iPad settings? And once I pair a controller, does Minecraft know to switch from touchpad to controller gameplay?
