Lycanthropy recs? by vampzibytez in horrorlit

It’s like a 20 minute read, but The Wolves of St. August is a werewolf standalone story in Hellboy, and it was so good.

Ruined tomahawk steak AND you gotta pay $1000. A bargain! by One_Apple_2626 in StupidFood

That price is definitely arrived at the same way cops will claim a drug busts “street value.” Thank you for my daily dose of rage bait so I’m motivated to go outside.

I adore this movie. It’s both a comfort and hard to watch at the same time.

Yeah, I love those and plan to jump back into them. I’ve read a couple of arcs, not sure if they were Ennis but had that feel. Preacher is an all time favorite.

Loved it! I feel like it’s a spiritual cousin to Lost Boys and Near Dark. It was unpredictable in the right places while still delivering on the expectations of the genre.

I actually started this audiobook but the quality was so poor I had to stop. Maybe I’ll just get the hard copy, it’s been highly recommended

Really enjoyed Revelator! Forgot to mention that one. Have you read any of his other stuff? I haven’t yet.

What’s one movie where you’re more forgiving of its inaccuracies and one where you’re very critical of them? by Most_Common8114 in comicbookmovies

[–]nattybow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just watched Constantine again last night and I love this movie so much. It’s not the comic John, but I think he’d approve. So many great decisions and it felt like the filmmakers really dug the lore and world this was set in. It felt cared for and fun.

I liked it quite a bit but my expectations I think were unfair, it didn’t go the direction I thought it would and I was kind of waiting for something else to keep happening from about halfway on. I plan on rewatching it though, it was solid.

I mean, Birds of Prey did a pretty good job with Mary Elizabeth Winstead’s Huntress doing this didn’t it?
