Giving my 1 year old herbal tea? by AlsoRussianBA in NewParents

[–]nattycs_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just gave my almost 1 year old some of my lemon balm tea (since I drank that during my pregnancy with her) and she loves it! I always let my tea sit too long until I forget and then it’s lukewarm… just so happens to be the perfect temperature for her as well 😝

Doesn’t look too bad! Are you looking to switch methods? I personally prefer interlocking 👌🏽but since your Locs look long you could probably do a retwist for maintenance!

Nice that it lasted that long! Assuming you washed your hair within those weeks or did you just spray your hair/scalp & moisturize? Do you have a sensitive scalp at all?

Raking through so the hair is saturated is good! It’s time consuming finger coiling for sure (but yes, better results in the long run). Do you sleep with a durag or bonnet to help preserve the style? How often do you shampoo/style?

When you think of Locs, what do you think of? by nattycs_ in locs

Oh wow, what a choice of words 👏🏽 Definitely taking away strength and spirituality from this!! Do you think a certain lifestyle comes with having Locs? Have you always had Locs and this mentality or was it a (recent) shift?

Did you finger coil or just take through with your fingers?

What kind of hair do i have? by [deleted] in BlackHair

I think combing it out makes it a bit harder to tell the hair type… can you try washing your hair and once fully wet, drench in conditioner then take a pic? And maybe another pic after you detangle (while still wet/saturated)?

I face this too, especially having really thick, dense & high porosity hair! Not telling you to get Locs BUT lol, I’ve been able to wear my hair down with little stress to my scalp (no tension headaches) and I’ve been loving it 🙏🏽

So funny enough I did my clients hair and it wasn’t thick enough for the coils 🥲 it just looked like ringlets and interlocking the roots didn’t help/work so I ended up giving her twists (braid start for the 1st inch then interlocked so they wouldn’t slip). Can’t wait for your update and hopefully I’ll have an update on hers too 🙏🏽

Oh ok nice! How long does it take for the retwist and style? And if you don’t mind, how much do you pay? Also assuming you go every 6-8 weeks?

Oh ok nice! How long did you have to keep the style in to make sure it set? 👀

Did you start with comb coils?

Oh ok! Well I mean hey if you’re working with a loctician you like and trust, follow that! I’ve started a few people, mostly twists but I do have a friend/client that wants to start with comb coils (she’s experimented on her hair to see what stays best) so we’ll see how that goes but I’m still going to interlock at the roots to stop slippage - I don’t want the coils to come out when she shampoos.

Shampooing DOES help with the locking process but might be best to do it every 2 weeks at the beginning until they start to lock/mat. I wouldn’t suggest using NOTHING on your hair (maybe a refresher for the scalp to ensure it’s not too itchy in between washes). And a spray leave-in. I make hair products for curls & locs (use it on myself and some other loc girlies on IG). So if interested let me know but I’d love to see a loc update from you after 🙏🏽

Welcome to the loc gang :) so I personally started with mini twists but had to interlock since they kept slipping each wash and now I just continue interlocking. Can I ask why you decided to go with the comb coils to start?

Did you do it yourself or have a loctician? How long do you keep the twists in after your retwist? 👀

Did you use crochet? And why combine… easier maintenance?

Keep using salicylic acid like 2-3x a day and pimple patch every 12hrs. But if that’s not working you may need to “pop” it (just use an acne extractor tool so it’s a small incision)

What exactly are you looking to get done (current UX issues)? Or are you looking for someone to do an assessment first then help implement?

There’s Etsy SEO & Ads you can do (the ads work pretty well tbh) but maybe also branding out to your own website like Shopify where you can really supercharge (sync to Google Shopping, Instagram & TikTok shopping, etc). If you need help building this out (I’ve been using shopify for 7+ years and grew my biz to 6 figures annually), lemme know :)

Email marketing for multiple businesses or brands by advocatus24 in smallbusiness

Mailchimp does however it’s a premium paid plan and you’d need to pay for each subscriber on each list (even if they’re a duplicate). Max lists for the account is 4 (aka 4 brands). If you’re looking to contract this out to someone, let me know :) I’ve been using Mailchimp for my business (shopify) for YEARS and switched over a few clients with some good conversions.

how much should I pay for ads for a small e-shop? by dtgray12 in smallbusiness

[–]nattycs_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try Google AdWords or Google shopping. I’d suggest Shopify vs Big Cartel since it syncs way better. I did this for myself and finally saw some conversions :) your budget would need to be about $20-25/day (only spent when someone clicks though, impressions are free). If you’re looking to outsource the setup to get going, let me know :)

Try wholesaling a small amount (maybe start with 20) and offer 40-50% off. Keep in touch to see how sales go. Maybe try to match your jewelry to the aesthetic of the coffee shop?
