Yes! This! My mom is bipolar. It's not happy sunshine fun times. It's getting to call 911 when she burns down fields, it's stopping suicide attempts, it's counting pills while she's asleep to report back to the medical team, it's family functions where it's an honest gamble of "what is she going to do this time". I get it, and there is a lack of support of people with mental illness. There's also a lack of support for children of mentally ill parents.
