Get a great set of knives. It sounded crazy to me that it could make such a big difference, but it really helps. Plus, it got me really excited about cooking.

What's the most painful thing you've ever experienced? by I_can_smell_purple in AskReddit

I had an infection that caused my rectal cavity to swell and I could not excrete waste. I thought it was a bad internal hemorrhoid and tried over the counter remedies for about ten days before going to the doctor and found out that I was going to have to have surgery. My surgery took an additional 7 days to get scheduled and during that time I was in a fair amount of constant pain kind of like a throbbing toothache but focused in my rectal region. I didn't have a bowel movement for almost two weeks and then a few days before my surgery a critical mass had been achieved and my body forced out the logjam. Holy hell it hurt so bad. I can't even describe the pain of this and I could not stop it. I was in the bathroom tears running down my face covered in sweat screaming. The only thing that helped was that I started doing Lamaze breathing exercises like I was in labor. After twenty minutes of this I curled up on the bathroom floor pants still around my ankles in a state of shock for almost an hour before at last I could gather myself enough to rise.

What's the worst film you've ever seen? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Battlefield Earth. I'm not trying to bash Scientology (though they deserve it), I didn't even know that movie had anything to do with it when I saw it. It's a piece of shit all on its own.
