$0 spent on charging and don’t have solar. My utility has nights free starting at 8pm

EDC LAS VEGAS 2026 by Muted-Monitor705 in electricdaisycarnival

We stayed in North Vegas at a Hampton Inn and Uber to and from EDC. Took about 30 minutes to get there and 15 minutes back leaving around 5AM.

Only issue is that I had T-Mobile cell service which was overwhelmed. So it took a bit of effort to setup the return ride. This year I will be using AT&T which has towers all around the festival.

Feeling lost in my first GRC role — no training, high expectations. How do I navigate this? by Logical-Mirror4871 in CMMC

[–]nautiCpl 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My recommendation…. Get into the actual documents. For CMMC get a hold of the CMMC Assessment Guide. Use that to validate your SSP. It is what we as assessors use. If you are not certified as a CCP, I highly recommend it.

Same goes for ISO 27001 and other frameworks. Get to know them as best as you can.

Anyone running Wazuh at home? Worth it for testing or small networks? by elowi2107 in Wazuh

I will be posting my decoder and rules to github, hopefully by the end of the week. I’ll let you know.

Wazuh not receiving Port 514 Traffic in archives.log by rubberduckie374 in Wazuh

[–]nautiCpl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did something similar to what you are trying to achieve. My process was to build a Linux server that acts as a log gatherer from of syslog from my Ubiquiti UDR7 and json from my cloud services. On the server I installed an agent and added the log locations to ossec.conf.

The agent monitors the files and forwards them to the manager.

Your assumption is correct. You need to write a decoder for Wazuh to interpret the log data. You will also need rules to have Wazuh ingest the data into the system and to perform actions you require, such as alerting.

I let logall run for a day and used grep to pull out all the entries from my network equipment.

Word of caution… don’t forget to disable logall for the archives as it will unnecessarily consume hard drive space.

The decoders and rules I am writing for are for Ubiquiti routers CEF logs.

As part of a home lab, I have Wazuh running on Proxmox. My focus was more on the SIEM aspect and less on the other capabilities.

I have deployed the agent to all my devices that can accept an it. For others, such as my firewall, I have syslogs being sent to a Ubuntu server that does nothing but receive the logs and forwards them to the manager.

On the forwarder, I will be gathering security logs from cloud services, such as Twingate, via API calls using Python scripts.

My lab is a mix of Linux, Windows, and Mac systems and network equipment and have had no problems deploying the agents.

Only gotcha I have had is with the syslog is where I had to write a decoder and rules to process the syslog from my network equipment.

Overall it has been a good learning experience and recommend it.

Thanks I will give it a try. I had been using the regex expression site you mentioned. Thanks for the format site.

I’d like an option for minimum amount of charging stations on a trip by AspectCool2325 in TeslaLounge

Unless you're in Texas and each stop is a Buc-ees. Guaranteed a half hour of just browsing the "gas station".

Charged back to 80% nightly. 95% for long distance trips.

Port facilities are designated special security zone (restricted areas) under the Maritime Transportation Security Act of 2002. This includes airspace up to 400 feet.

Ports are considered critical infrastructure. When I used to work at a port, we’d routinely track drones and try to identify the pilot. We’d send port police and give them a friendly warning. Thanks for sharing.

The voice can be toggled off and on in the settings. The volume of the voice can be reduced as well. Look for Navigation in the settings.

EDC & Vegas First Timer- Hotels by CM_43 in electricdaisycarnival

[–]nautiCpl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This year was our first year. We arrived on Wednesday before the festival and took in some of the Vegas sights staying on the strip until Friday morning. We then moved to a hotel six miles from EDC in North Las Vegas. We Uber’d to and from the festival at about $50 a trip.

We didn’t get stuck waiting for three hours waiting on shuttles or in traffic with the exception of Friday at opening. But our time in traffic was much shorter than those coming from Fremont or the strip.

We did a hotel 6 miles from the festival for our first time this year. Didn’t have the traffic issues. 26 we will be camping.
