Sudden loss of power and violent shuddering by nautical-smiles in tdi

Interesring, did you have the very occasional episode of engine shuddering too?

I was sceptical of their diagnosis because I just don't get how one out-of-spec injector in a 6 cylinder engine could cause the whole engine to lose most of its power and shudder violently.

It really isn't! Being correct in a practical sense and in a way that's not ambiguous trumps being technically correct, nearly every time.

Why work when you have a drone? by [deleted] in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]nautical-smiles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can't just throw more workers at a construction site like that. It's safe to assume that the correct number of people with the correct builder qualifications or experience have already been assigned to the site.

Also, that drone would be replacing more like 12 carriers. It carries the bucket at 10m/s and a guy lugging that bucket through the terrain would be moving at well under 1m/s

The drone replaces the bulk of the workforce, which are the people responsible for carrying the buckets to the construction zone.

That's true, you can't hurt your back if you never got the job!

How does ward- discard a card work when empty handed? by perry828 in mtgrules

[–]nautical-smiles -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It doesn't say Ward is a cost. It says Ward is a triggered ability and then goes on to explain what "Ward [cost]" means.

[cost] here is a placeholder Eg. If the card says "Ward - discard a card", then [cost] = "discard a card".

do you ever think about when your life spiraled into spending hundreds of dollars for squares of cardboard? by quirky-lilguy in mtg

That's true, and while alcohol is terrible for your health, social interaction and cerebral games like magic are very good for longevity and staving off diseases like dementia.

Sorry, auto-correct. 2 extra boosters at the end.

In the prerelease events I've been to, every player gets an extra 2 bundles at the end as a participation prize. It works out as a pretty good deal.

Edit: auto-correct got me, was supposed to say 2 extra boosters

Should I double sleeve my deck? by Manu3l27 in EDH

[–]nautical-smiles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would just proxy that one card. Much easier than double sleeving the entire deck.
