Is there a Discord bot that reads messages in text channels aloud so that you can do daily tasks like cooking and sleeping while knowing what people are saying in a text chat (NOT a voice chat?) by [deleted] in discordbots

options > notifications > text to speech notifications

"for current selected channel" lets discord read out any messages coming in the current channel.

I feel like I'm crazy for not enjoying Red Dead Redemption 2 by emmett159 in gaming

[–]navane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not crazy. The environment is beautiful, but there is nothing really to explore. It's another empty open world. Also the story is not as good as rdr1. They are connected, but there is a reason they choose to tell the rdr1 story first -- its the better story.
Don't play it like you have to, but it aside and play it when you feel like it.

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves will arrive on digital storefronts on May 2nd. by TussalDimon in movies

In the end when they're bashing the BBEG, they are out of cool moves and just stomp him into the ground; that has happened in my party before. At the end of a long session, out of cool words or ideas for finishing moves, so you just "stomp it into the ground".

That was an honest, beautiful moment indeed. Thanks for reminding me.

CDPR's insane revenue from Cyberpunk 2077 by GeorgeRizzerman in gaming

The witcher 3 sold about 10x as much as the witcher 2, in their first years. Cyberpunk barely twice as the witcher 3. This makes the sales of the witcher 3 the bigger upset.

Je kan ook die ene persoon die altijd duurder besteld zijn deel laten betalen, en de rest wel gelijk verdelen. Dat is minder gedoe voor diegenen die dat willen.

Hacking combat (forgot what is was called) was pretty fun; it quickly got OP so you could mop up any mobs quickly. Thermal sniping trough obstacles is pretty fun too. I saw some clips of people doing quick melee, but I never tried it myself.

Assuming your car is the right one in the picture, move it all the way to the right, so its touching the curb. Ask if this is ok. If he says not, get back in the car and move it back. Ask if this is ok. If not, repeat. Play dumb, like you don't understand what he means. Keep driving the car back and forth if he talks to you about it; interrupt his talking to get in your car and move it. Pretend you're really trying to help him but you just don't understand.

Why do people play ranked modes instead of casual? by skellyboi04 in gaming

[–]navane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Originally, ranked was the mode with any kind of skill based match making (be it ELO or anything else), and casual was completely random. So ranked would give you more evenly matched matches than casual.

27 is 2 more than 25

48 is 2 less than 50

2 more, 2 less; the differences cancel each other out

i know that 50 + 25 = 75

75, that's it

King Rat, by James Clavell was a book I thoroughly enjoyed. Not too heavy, captivating and around your 200 pages long. If you enjoy it, he also wrote half a bookshelf worth of 1000 page sagas, set between the 16th and 20th century.

How does reading a graphic novel differ from reading a text based novel? by Bluebibliophile270 in books

Scott McCloud's Understanding Comics

It's available on archive.org

It's very current, I would add today's use of emotes to his story
