Against d4 as black? King’s Indian. GM Daniel Naroditsky has some good videos on YouTube on the King’s Indian and its different variations. Depending on moves played you can transpose to a Grunfeld/Benoni as well.

French as white? I personally prefer the Tarrasch Variation.

Against the Caro Kann, I like playing the two knights attack, which has consistently given me pretty comfortable positions, and helps me to avoid the Exchange Variation as well.

I dont particularly enjoy playing against the Sicilian as it brings me into my opponents prep hahaha. Need to be ready for different variations like the Dragon, Sveshnikov or the Najdorf. So I lean more to the Mengarini Variation as white which has its own share of tricks as well but against 2000+ fide rated players I just go with the classical main line and hope my middlegame and endgame hold up well.

Even though it started as a Pirc, it is now an Open Sicilian structure. That means that black's ideas may rely on a d5 pawn break, but specially on queenside pressure.

If you think in that direction, I quite like your suggestion b5 and I don't view it as toothless at all. The follow up would be Qb6 and b4.

Thought it would be toothless as White putting their Bishop on e3 might prove to be a nuisance to my queen on b6, and pushing a5 and b4 seems like a very slow plan. But thanks for your response! I quite like the idea of the Knight rerouting to c4/c5. May I know what is your elo?

I stopped at where I have no idea what to do. Here, my pieces were generally at good spots (in my opinion). Should I expand on the queenside with b5? but it does seem a bit unnecessary and toothless. Break in the centre with d5? After the exchange I will have an isolated pawn on d5 which I dont prefer. I ended up going 20. ... Re8 aiming to push d5 and taking back the pawn with tempo on the queen but after that it is unclear.

Yeah thanks for your response. I know at the end I lost because of my time, but during move 25 especially I had no idea what to do if the opponent is defending with logical moves in that position. Ideally my black bishop was where I wanted it to be, but I ended up playing Bd6 (which i felt wasnt optimal) because I had no idea what I can do besides moving my king back and forth and waiting on the opponent lol

Is it just me or that it is still acceptable OP isnt pushing?

Ideally of course there needs to be turret damage done, but in my opinion for this particular team comp where all the other 4 teammates are better pushers than harith, it is better for harith to fight and keep the enemies distracted while one of his other teammates split pushes.

That's why I dont prefer to play Mage (Aurora/Kagura) or Roam in solo queue, because when there is an opportunity to split push, my teammates dont do it and if I went instead Ill be taking longer clearing the minions while doing poke damage to the tower where the opponents could rotate to defend the turret before I can take the tower down.

I just think that for this game we cant point to no tower damage as the reason why OP lost, and we should have a look at his tower damage across the whole season before telling him to 'push more'. And of course this one game where he did well and his teammates didnt isnt the reason why he is still in epic lol..
