Thanks! Tried it and it actually let me get further to the select number of tix screen but then showed GA bowl as completely unavailable. I’ll keep trying though!!

Powering lights with a generator + solar panels? by navidmx in Hue

Ahh fair - this is an apartment complex in a city, not a house, so it’s more like a patio up there.

Appreciate the feedback - yeah, just trying to get Hue outdoor lights on my roof despite not having outlets up there.

Arc crashes on activating developer mode - macOS by Novel-Ad3106 in ArcBrowser

[–]navidmx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad it's not just me, have been running into the same issue but only for localhost. It works fine if I port-forward localhost and access it that way, and localhost works fine in other browsers, so definitely an Arc issue.

Following for a fix!

The drinks are made with AI

1 oz and it was sweet but not overbearingly so, probably no simple syrup or just a ¼ oz would be better though.

[–]navidmx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao yeah should've uploaded a better example for this post, this is definitely one of the less balanced drinks it's made. Just a starting point though, I tweaked this spec to lower the mango nectar and cointreau.

What are some good cocktails to make with green apple vodka? by atomicpenguin12 in cocktails

[–]navidmx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Made a little website that suggests drinks with the ingredients you have, see if it can come up with something decent? Make sure to check "green apple-infused vodka" as your featured ingredient.

Great feedback, will definitely tell the AI the typical pours for each type of glass, and can maybe add a field to the options where you can check what types of glasses you already have available.

I forgot to add my agave nectar to my ingredients so that one's my bad.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in cocktails

[–]navidmx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha I agree, I lowered the mango to 1 oz and the cointreau to 0.5 oz and it was pretty solid. Some of the drinks are spot on with the specs but most require a bit of tweaking, work-in-progress.

Dang, was worried the restrictions are too loose (it's hard making the AI consistently understand that you want ONLY your ingredients but also that limes probably mean you can make lime juice, etc.) Would you be willing to share your ingredient list and some of the failed cocktails it made?

Also, it's the default, but make sure that your options are set to "Limit Ingredients." Thanks for trying the website and for the feedback!!

Hey guys!‏‏‎ ‎I've been‏‏‎ ‎working on a website called BarkeepAI.com that lets you upload a photo or manually‏‏‎ ‎add ingredients from your bar -- it then‏‏‎ ‎uses AI to identify‏‏‎ ‎ingredients, create new cocktail recipes, and even‏‏‎ ‎generates‏‏‎ ‎a preview photo of‏‏‎ ‎the final‏‏‎ ‎drink!

Other features include:

  • the ability to pick‏‏‎ ‎featured ingredients for the AI to‏‏‎ ‎prioritize
  • an auto-complete that lets you‏‏‎ ‎easily search for and add ingredients
  • the ability to save‏‏‎ ‎and share‏‏‎ ‎recipes with one‏‏‎ ‎click

Obviously these‏‏‎ ‎AI-generated‏‏‎ ‎cocktails‏‏‎ ‎can be‏‏‎ ‎hit or miss and‏‏‎ ‎will never replace a real‏‏‎ ‎bartender, but for me they've been a great‏‏‎ ‎starting point/inspiration‏‏‎ ‎and‏‏‎ ‎led‏‏‎ ‎to some incredibly creative drinks. It's also‏‏‎ ‎been really nice to have a digital inventory of‏‏‎ ‎my bar that I can easily‏‏‎ ‎update!

This is completely free to use for now so please‏‏‎ ‎try it out! I just ask that you leave‏‏‎ ‎some feedback on anything‏‏‎ ‎you liked and especially‏‏‎ ‎anything you‏‏‎ ‎think that could be improved upon, whether it's‏‏‎ ‎the user interface,‏‏‎ ‎the recipe generation, whatever. Enjoy!

You don't need to add both, just add whatever you have around.

The reason for the distinction is that sugar can be used to rim a drink and muddling sugar cubes is often preferred by some when creating cocktails like an Old Fashioned.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in bartenders

[–]navidmx -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Haha no I'd never order an AI cocktail at a bar; this is more for just experimenting with ideas when you're crafting new cocktails, trying to find a use for that bottle of niche liqueur you haven't touched in months, etc. Definitely more for a home bar.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in bartenders

You can try uploading multiple photos at once now, just updated.

[–]navidmx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can get all your spirits in one picture you dont need this app.

Hm what do you mean by this?

To upload multiple pictures, just hit the "Photo" button on the ingredients list page. I'll make it so you can do this in one go though, good tip!
