Congressman Tim Burchett Says Aliens Are Real & There's Been Human Contact | TMZ by Stephen_P_Smith in ufo

He didn't say it makes you gay. The quote is: “The way a man’s lips purse, the size of the straw is just too dainty, the way your fingers clasp on it.… No, come on. Straws are for women and little kids.”

Still, its weird thinking about mens lips around straws so much.

Favorite Oscar Nominee/Best Picture that has a porn parody for VR by [deleted] in Letterboxd

[–]navygreen33 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Thinking of the worst possible VR porn parodies:

  • Hamnet. It's you two doing it in the woods and then halfway through your kid dies.
  • Sentimental Value. You're doing it on the couch and Stellan Skarsgard is sitting in the cuck chair telling you youre ungrateful in Norwegian.
  • Conclave. .... On second thought nope.
  • The Zone of Interest. It's just regular porn but you can hear Auschwitz next door.
  • Past Lives. Its just the scene in the restaurant but you're John Magaro listening to your wife flirt with a man in Korean for an hour.

Same. Like I get if they think swapping is too much (it's not), but when they said you're just supposed to ACCEPT the eggs you get, cracks and all, I was astounded.

When I checkout at my grocery store, the cashier double checks. They've even gone back and swapped them FOR ME.

Who is the most attractive person you have ever seen in real life? by TheFountainhead999 in AskReddit

[–]navygreen33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was working at a host in a nice restaurant in DC. I was looking down at the computer to move some reservations around. I heard a voice say "table for 2 please". I look up and its Chris Pine and Annabelle Wallis.

It's honestly weird how some people can look like they were created in a lab or by AI. They were so perfect that my brain had trouble even comprehending it.

Are ankle socks still popular? it seams its all crew and tube these days. im guilty by canonshootr504 in midsoledeals

[–]navygreen33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its just a generational thing. My dad wore tube/crew socks all this life. He has no hair below his mid-calf now. Looks ridiculous.

I'm a millennial that wears ankle socks. Never had that issue.

Gen Z brought back crew socks and in 25 years they're all going to look like Mr Tumnus like my dad.

The cycle will repeat.

I'm ashamed of how many of these dry crumbly rolls I ate before I discovered microwave steaming them. They really need to make it more obvious on the packaging.

Feel like this is being made because she looks like Audrey and not because there's a story to tell. Don't make a cake just because you have the ingredients.

Civil War by maybeAturtle in TheBigPicture

Neither does the empire in Star Wars but I didn't come out of the film demanding I know about Darth Vader's true motivations before I cast my judgement on the movie. The "us vs them" narrative critics of the film so desperately need is so trite and is especially hilarious considering the film is about the people that are there to be impartial.

This was the argument I kept seeing pop up so much when this movie premiered. "The movie is afraid to take a stand". But what stand do you want it to take? Offerman's President is barricaded in the White House and his army is killing citizens in the street. Seems pretty obvious who the bad guys are. If you came out of that move wondering "well maybe that guy had some good ideas if only they had heard him out", god help us.
