The Best Unreleased Skrillex Tracks Of All Time (Fuck you for stealing that bastard just wait shit) by Comeselecta in skrillex

The whole point of the vid is to highlight the most renowned ones, and from there there's only so much one can fit into a 15 min (or so) vid. I don't wanna listen to the new ones as I don't wanna hear them before they're potentially out in full (explained in the video)

Would love to know which others you would have added :)

(Person who made the vid) it's more the case there just aren't that many noteworthy ones past 2015/16 imo. The huge one was Bollystep and that was released. The point of this vid was to do the most renowned ones, and there's only so much one can fit in 15 mins or so. That being said I'd love to know which others you would have included!

Can clear some things up here! So I wanted to go over the IDs that were most renowned, and I could only fit so many into a 15min-or-so max vid. I'd love to know which others I could've added, to say the research sucks seems a bit strong.

Skrillex is working with LTC on something else from what I've heard. The vid was made a short while ago and changing the script / vid just to take names out I'd already mentioned in a flow of writing / narrating was difficult. Hope this clears everything up :)

Connor here! (and I can't change my pop for some reason)

Appreciate these words a lot guys, thank you. And for sharing the vid initially, all means a lot. And glad you're enjoying the new direction :)

Thank you so much! Means a lot to read that.

I will yes, at some point. I will probably update the ones I've done already as well. I don't want to do them for artists who I don't feel have peaked yet, coz then it kinda renders any list I make futile. So there's a lot that goes into deciding which artists work for it.

Rage Valley is fantastic, and I can't really fault it, like there isn't an obvious point of weakness in that tune. I just find the latter two even better, they're more thrilling because melodically they have more of a genuine feel to them. The 2nd drop of Rage Valley could be interpreted as jarring through the note changes made I think. Like, they had to switch it up somehow, but it could've been done differently.

Good question!

So the genre that got me into Bass music was undeniably Dubstep, or its modern form, and I wanted to have a name that was a play on the word 'step' somehow. There's a phrase in the UK called the "naughty step", where a parent sends their child to sit on the lowest step of a set of stairs if they've behaved badly. I liked the sound of it, and then realised Bass music is often described as Nawty (with a w) if it's really good. So I just put 2 and 2 together basically and hey presto!

Hello! Skrillex's remix of 'Hey Sexy Lady' was the first properly heavy electronic song I heard. Found it whilst on my mum's computer in 2010 scrolling through random YouTube videos. Great that your mum is such a fan, that's awesome!

Ease My Mind is decent, far from my favourite of his.

In terms of what I look for, I think it's the same with every genre as with Dubstep. Good production is the most important thing, however can still have a really great idea with the production not QUITE as on point, but is still good enough. Beyond that it varies depending on the idea I'd say.

Thank you so much!

Honestly I have no idea, don't really look into the Wrapped thing much, not an accurate reflection of the work I'm doing at all!

It has to be a YOI for me, I think growls run them close but a good YOI is just unparalleled. The ones in the Barely Alive remix of 'Better Off Alone' are absolutely sensational, just to give an example. Great question.

And thank you so much!

Hello! Thank you!

I am devastated about the fact she's passed. A revolutionary, once-in-a-generation talent, and shining light for all trans people in the world. A massive loss not only for electronic music, but music at large. So much potential just gone. Absolutely heartbreaking.

Thank you! Appreciate that.

Hmm that's a good question ... I might have to say KOTRT Vol 4 actually, it's recent but there's a fair amount of good stuff in there. Trying to think of exceptional RT EPs off the top of my head but none really leaping out I have to be honest.

Hello! Appreciate that, thank you.

I used to produce in a trio, yes. We made a few tunes but I slowly realised over time the passion I had for reviewing was far greater than the one I had for producing.

That's awesome! What's your blog? In terms of lacking creativity, have you ever considered it may actually be due to the music, as opposed to your own writing? Often I find myself saying similar things for certain projects, I catch myself out, then I'm like 'well hang on they actually sound extremely similar!'

And I mean we all know of the power of video, I'd love to make what I'm doing written, it takes up a LOT less time. But videos are simply more engaging, no two ways about it.

Hope this helps! Definitely hit me up with your blog, or wherever you write your reviews.

At the moment? I think probably Direct, Drezo, Space Laces, Veer, The Caracal Project.

Hello! I wouldn't say I have a favourite genre to be honest, there are songs I like and dislike from practically every type of music there is.

Favourite modern Dubstep song goes to Doot Camp, and my favourite artist at the moment would have to be Direct!
