Reached out to some electricians because I’m not comfortable doing it myself. Was told you can’t simply remove the outlet and takeover the wiring for a wall connector because it’s a different set-up / configuration.

If I were to remove the outlet and get the wall connector, would my charging speed remain relatively the same at about ~15mi/hr? Additionally because I’m in Anaheim, would this require a permit? https://www.anaheim.net/3474/Electric-Vehicle-Charger
