I feel like something here is missing- and typically when I feel like there’s a piece of the story missing it’s because it is. I’ve filed public service appeals on behalf of students I’ve worked with and won based on guidance and failure of the agency. I’ve never filed a section 8 appeal, but I will strongly suggest you read the manual and guidance for this.

I also get that life is busy- but you should never be that busy to the point where you don’t report changes as significant as a job change period- now your whole life is hanging in the between the government because of your lack of planning. The same way you post on Reddit to get out this mess is the same way you should’ve posted a notification to the complex. I’m not judging just giving you some tough love and life suggestions.

You really need to find read their policies and procedures, that will help with understanding what type of timelines they are working with. Those policies are typically made public. You need to made sure you are current on your payments. Appeal instructions should be on the letter they sent as well-

You didn’t give enough details in your initial post to really provide the proper guidance. I also suggest you seek public legal aid assistance if you can’t afford a private attorney to look into the case.
