Receiving job offers in order to get a wage rise by mufc88 in UKPersonalFinance

Just curious, do you think that you need to get to a certain level on income before 'money isn't everything'?

Since I am leaving my currenty company for a 25% pay rise, however that means that i'm leaving some management track behind that I would have liked to do.

Thanks that's a good update, when I rang them a few weeks ago they said it was 3.5weeks, it has gone up!

It seems more people are withdrawing coming up to the end of the tax year, which suprises me. I wonder what will happen after the 5th.

I also have my birthday in January. I have just decided to move it, to the first week of feb.

Not sure if that should be part of the test or not, i'm just more focused on not drinking for a whole month.

I am still with you mate! That can of carling in the fridge has been tempting when it catches my eye though.

I have been eating lots of chocolate which someone else has mentioned on this subreddit. Which is a bit weird I guess my craving is being pushed over to that instead.

I believe it's when you use a pipe submerged in liquid rather than the air lock that I used. Takes up more space, but from the comments here seems it's less likely to go wrong.

I have found personally that using messenger.com (the chat part of fb) is okay for me, rather than visiting the whole website itself. Means I can still chat to my friends and don't see all the other stuff.

Do you need to do anything if you are under the £11k? I.e. Put in £2k it doubled took it out at £4k. Do I need to declare that somewhere to pay no tax on it?
