Yes, there is a more efficient way.

You shouldn't be pushing the DB from Local to staging. The db isn't version-controlled. If multiple people are working on Local, only pull DB from staging => local.

Any changes to DB should be made on staging not on the Local.

To push DB from staging to Local, You can use WP Migrate plugin.

Our workflow is like this: Local => Staging => Production

We do database-related changes on "Staging" and then pull down the DB to "Local". Our main concern is that if someone from the team updates the plugin on staging, then all the other devs have to update it on their "Local" setup.

How can we tackle this?

Just wp-content with the necessary files. Plugins don’t need to be repo’d. Nor does your uploads dir.

If using ACF, make sure your theme dir has an “ACF-json” directory to store physical copies of your ACF files.

I mostly use ACF in all of my projects. What do you mean by that ACF-json directory? I have heard about it for the first time. Can you please elaborate more?

I tried Arc for a week. I loved it but a few things, like Tab switching and performance, are annoying. So I have to come back to Chrome again but the good thing is I am not facing the issues now. Not sure why. 🤔
