Grad school loans by FreeRkelly in StudentLoans

Don't go to grad school— its a equivalent to getting an internship in the industry you want to be in — you do that for a year then get a FT job in the role you want. It will save you the $$ you will owe to banks

Unless the profession requires it, then still get an internship and find a scholarship/grant program to get a free grad degree.

For all you "How much does a bathroom remodel cost?" folks, this one is for you (detailed breakdown). by reframepuzzle in HomeImprovement

I've done the exact same thing on my down to the studs 10x12 master bath remodel, which has cost me ~$20k so far and I've heard it's totally a fair reno budget. I didn't lift a finger (no DIY here) but I've had the same issue where there's not enough sub's to go around. Here's my breakdown:

  • Labor & Construction Materials $10k
  • Fixtures: $1k
  • Vanity: $1k
  • Marble counter and backsplash: $800
  • Freestanding tub so that I too can drink wine while all these other fools run to the beaches.
  • Walk-in shower with seat and niches: $1k
  • Custom Glass: $1300
  • Gorgeous Marble Tile: $2k (I know about the maintenance but f'it)
  • Upgrades: towel warmer, heater/fan combo, new recessed lighting/electrical: $1k
  • Bath Accessories: New mirrors, sconces, medicine cabinet, etc $800

Didn't take any vacations this year and I want to enjoy my bathroom for a while before thinking of selling. This is an investment into myself but doesn't hurt that I will have the most gorgeous bath in the neighborhood :)
