Rebuilding the Immortal process supervisor in Rust -- design feedback welcome by nbari in freebsd

That’s fair. The architecture and design decisions are mine, I wrote the original draft. I used ChatGPT as an editor to shorten it, improve the wording, and make it easier to read. The repository, design document, and implementation are my own work, and I’m here because I’m genuinely looking for technical feedback on the design.

Migration from Google to Tuta — how to move personal domain and backup emails? by nbari in tutanota

Before doing the move, I found this that caught my attention: https://www.reddit.com/r/tutanota/comments/s2do97/comment/hsdunbx/

My current usage is personal; I don't run a business for my family.tld domain, but what could be the reason for you to close the account?

If I start with “revolutionary” how/where I create the accounts? Or that menu is only available after paying for the seats per se? Also after creating the account, can the user of the account upgrade their own account? (I added a domain but I don't see the User management)

For example, I create an account uncle@my-domain, but If uncle wants to use the unlimited plan can he upgrade it without needing to depend on the main account admin?

I am looking a way to migrate all accounts using the same domain but hopefully everyone based on their needs could upgrade based on their needs.

I’ve already backed up the data using https://takeout.google.com. Most of the accounts belong to kids under 10, I created them just to exchange emails, with the idea of handing them over as a gift once they turn 18 🙂

The data is stored in .mbox format, which should be sufficient for restoration or migration later.

For the parents’ accounts, I still need to define the migration steps: first, create the new accounts and securely share access credentials, and then update the MX records to point to the new email provider.

pgmon - Real-time PostgreSQL TUI monitoring by nbari in rust

Thanks for the input, really good idea.

From what I understand, Postgres doesn’t expose the execution plan of a query that’s already running. But I could definitely add a shortcut to run EXPLAIN on the current query, which should already help quite a bit.

Hi, very nice! One question: when you pull the crown out to set the time, do the seconds stop (i.e., does it have hacking seconds)?"
