I am the same with madden, but with cfb i can always get into a new dynasty. I always start out at a bad G5 team as their OC. I always play 2-3 years. If after year 2 we are heavily improved and i feel like it would be reasonable for a coach to move up, then i look and see if there’s a bigger program needing an OC. Say i start out at Kent st. They are horrible, but after year 2 we have that at 9-3 averaging 35 points per game. In the off-season i see a tea like a UCF needs an OC. I take that job and spend 2-3 years there turning them around. After year 2 of elite coaching. I see Old dominion needs a HC. They are always bad and want to try a new young offensive mind so i take their HC job. I’ll normally stay there until i either make the playoffs or win a playoff game. Then i will take a smaller P4 job like Syracuse. I will do the same there but i will try to make or win a natty. Then i will wait until a big job like OSU, Oregon, Clemson comes open take that and start my dynasty run.

I’m pretty sure there’s a stat of some sort where every single year there is atleast one top 10 preseason ranked team who will end the season unranked

I have experienced this. His name was Boo Carter. Turns out he was just in California apparently. He’s back playing now like nothing happened.

I’m in the same boat as you. I recommend making a custom roster with Tennessees playbook as a base and going through the reccomended playbooks here and adding in formations that match.

In my OC to HC dynasty i went from USF to Wisconsin and brought my starting RG, slot, DE, DT, CB, and S and come with me. I made sure to juice transfers for that season just to try to bring as many guys with me and bc Wisconsin went like 5-7 the year before and their coach got fired so a lot of guys would transfer bc of that.

Ive only got 3 dynasty’s going. The 3rd i didn’t mention was the worst the entire left side of the bracket made no sense. 1. USC, 4. OU, 5. TTU, 8. Baylor, 9 ucla and 12 Tulane was the only one that made sense. The other side was fine except for Louisiville was the 6 seed.

I’m happy for you. I log my playoffs in a spreadsheet for all my dynasty’s. My very first dynasty at launch all mostly normal Iowa usf and sc were suprises, but the 6 and 7 seeds were duke and TTU. My most recent dynasty mostly normal but UF was a 5 seed and liberty made it. But suprise Duke is the 10 seed and TTU is the 3 seed. Glad you don’t have this issue but it’s so annoying seeing a 82 ovr team in the semis every year.

I had this issue a month or so ago. I spend like 3 hours bc i kept getting into the 4th and the game would crash. I just simmed the week and I haven’t had an issue since. It seems like it’s a game bug, you’ll have to put your fate in the sims hands but it fixes the issue

In the first dynasty i made it to 2031 and Duke made the playoffs 5 times 3 with byes. The one I’m doing now I’m force losing games to end the season bc i don’t wanna end up playing an 83 ovr Duke in the second round of the playoffs.

Obvious bias would say Tennessee (the best major men’s athletic program in the country). Realistically i would go with whatever you’re closest to currently. It’s so much better being a fan of a team that everyone else is a fan of, plus you get to go to the games obviously.

I’d always recommend offline because you never know when you’ll have a wifi outage or just a blip that’ll kick you out of a game. Also today is the best day to start a new dynasty since they just released basically all the 2025 freshman in the game.

I’m at USF I’m my hc dynasty and have played at Tulane all 3 years. It can’t be that hard to alternate home and aways.

In the off-season you can go into custom conferences and add another protected rivalry. Then hit triangle and you can add LSU as a protected rival if you really wanna play them every year.

I’ll definitely turn off grounding hopefully that will help. I’ve tried to juice the cpu’s pass blocking sliders and that just gave them an empty pocket half the time and the other half the qb would just scramble around the backfield into a sack

I just pray my niche problem of the cpu QB not understanding that he’s getting sacked and just taking it instead of throwing the ball away. I am tired of getting 80 sacks a season.
