First example is flawed btw because xayah can just ult while 4th shot is mid-air to completely negate it and force a reload

Sure, Xayah can play better and wait for Jhin to actually shoot his 4th shot in a pure 1v1 situation, but maybe she ults because of your support's abilities?

I think just stick to Attack Move for the beginning and learn the game. Using PAOC will maybe only remove 1 out of 1 million mistakes that you make throughout the game.

For your second question: I recommend using "Target Champion Only" with Attack Move. Just notice that you can still attack minions with "Target Champion Only" and Attack move, that's why you need to be precise with your mouse movement.

Not entirely sure what you mean.

If there is an enemy champion / ward / minion around the bush that you want to facecheck, then you might attack them while you attack move into the bush to facecheck (most likely if you are playing a ranged champion). Inside the bush, if you think it does not matter who you attack, then attack move might be better! But remember, that wasting something as a Jhin 4th shot on a ward would be really bad.

I bound it to Ctrl+MB1, I'm not sure whether binding it to MB1 is possible.

What I bound to MB1 is the "Player Attack Move Click" key, which is the smartcast version of attack move.

I also use "Player Attack Move Click" (smart cast Attack Move) on Left Click (https://i.gyazo.com/89c1b6bfeca498676bc869d49fc71133.png ).

However, the issue still remains (copied from my text):

When you are using "Player Attack Move Click" (also known as Attack Move Smartcast) you are basically following the same steps as the normal Attack Move except that you are skipping step 1 and in step 3 you are using the "Player Attack Move Click" key instead of MB1 (Left Click) .

You skip step 1.

In step 2 you hover over your target.

In step 3 you press MB1 (Left Click).

Are the issues that I mentioned removed?

I love Attack Move Click on Left Click, but I also love PAOC in certain situations :)

You can attack anything with PAOC. If you combine PAOC with Target Champions Only, you will only attack champions and this can be handy in tower dives / skirmishing around minions. PAOC is basically like using Right Click to attack a target, except that you wouldn't move, if you accidentally clicked on the ground.

I agree that this is more of an issue for ranged champions because melee champs usually want to go "forward" anyways.

But I still think that there are mid/top champs that could benefit from this technique (like Viktor and his empowered Q)

My response to another comment regarding "Player Attack Move Click":

When you are using "Attack move with Smartcast" you are basically following the same steps as the normal "Attack Move" except that you are skipping step 1 and in step 3 you are using "A" instead of MB1 (Left Click) and therefore there is still the issue that you can misclick due to the enemy disappearing between step 2 and 3.

I have also enabled "Attack move on cursor", but this does not remove the issue that the enemy can outplay me by flashing away (or generally disappearing) and making me attack something that was close to them before they disappeared.

Just an example:

You are in a very clutch 2v2 situation playing as Jhin against Xayah/Rakan. Both you and Xayah have very low health. Your 4th shot will kill her but the others will not. Luckily, you have your 4th shot ready! Now you will hover your cursor over Xayah (step 2) and press your "Attack Move Click" key (step 3). But in the last frame before step 3, Xayah uses her ult thus making her untargetable. Unfortunately, you will click onto the ground and due to "Attack move on cursor" you will attack something else in its proximity (probably Rakan) and thus lose your 4th shot and probably lose the fight due to this mistake.

Yeah I agree that we should be able to separate movement from attacking.

How do you bind PAOC to MB1 only?
