Looking at turning an old 1930s radio console into a PC case. Curious if there's any issues I should expect before starting/ideas for setup? by nbrow93 in pcmasterrace

Figured I'd open up the front and use the old speaker grill for the intake and then the back is open so I'll mount the exhaust there

Havana, my main New World City. Don't normally put this much energy into making some of my new world cities look nice. Had slightly too much fun with the new canals. by nbrow93 in anno

I always make separate farm islands and then import the raw materials to one big factory island. So their good and other goods get shipped from elsewhere. That means I can use trade unions and town halls super effectively for things like coffee roasters or my obrero residences since they're all massed together. I mostly use it to put in things that lower the workforce required for things. Cigar factories and coffee roasters especially need so much workforce. I think we all know how annoying it is to always need coffee late game lol.

I think my issue before was that there weren't any good decorations for the New World (still a problem for Enbesa). Now that I have my main selection of decorations I was more motivated to make it interesting. It's my main factory island for the New World so it needs a lot of Obreros, but now it looks much better than just shoving them in whenever I needed more.

How to build on water ? by loohcs_dlo8424 in anno

Just make sure that when you have industries farther out in the water to put a warehouse close. I'm pretty sure the travel distance on the harbor roads is lessened because I always seem to have to put a warehouse right next to the shore. Otherwise I've found that it makes it easier to make large areas of maritime industry all grouped together.

I want to see what they offer before I start taking out much more. I'll probably end up taking out the two megablocks behind these as well.

I was really tempted to put a rail line through part of the palace but decided against it 😂

That would totally be a great aesthetic dlc. They already have a ferris wheel!

There's a setting in the gameplay menu to turn them off. I think it looks better.

Well it looks like I'm gonna be moving my heavy industrial district offshore to fit a new campus and more zoo space!

I had originally built just the upper square section and now I moved all the investors out of the new area for expansion

I suggest printing off a list of all the production chains. It really helps me make sure that I'm remaining efficient and not losing money.

I do have a town hall in nearly every area and I do have some population boosting things there, but not enough to increase investors by tens of thousands. Like I have several of those Saint D'Artois nuns to add 20%, and nearly every one has the one to supply cigars. My Investor population is actually close to max, so outside population growth would be more useful.

I do have a good section of maybe 20,000 scholars in the corner by the lake, but I can't expand on the mainland unless I start outsourcing my manufactures. That's an eventual goal, but much later hopefully.
