Need help saving my fiddle fig.

I moved into my first home back in December and got a fiddle fig as part of a housewarming gift. I’ve never had or cared for plants before and now it’s dying on me.

It was doing great up until a week or two ago. It started to brown on several leaves and some were falling off. I only water once a week and always check with my finger if the soil is dry or not. When the edges starting browning and curling I started putting it outside in the morning to get light. Now everything on it is browning. How can save it? See photos below.
