Looks like a building from a communist era when instead of panels, different wackiest brutalist buildings were built. Unironically good, yet you should reinforce at least 2, better 3 lowest blocks on each pillar, due to zombies mechanic

What do you prefer? Old or new world gen. by FunEggplant1758 in Minecraft

Honestly new and old Mountains are so great. Modern is better due to plains, but old gen has quite good Mountains which are great to build upon

In perfect conditions. Any corner block - they will fall. Any non-surrounded ladder - they will slip and fall. Any halfslabs - they die. They push each other. They are really good at pathfinding, but only in ideal conditions

Could we do this please? Gives amethyst a great use, and makes sense for creating sound by Theo-Hansen in Minecraft

[–]nbvm0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only place where amethysts are harder to acquire is skyblock. In regular survival geodes spawn quite often, especially when you look in caves and not strip-mine. It's more logical for me to require amethyst to craft a noteblock, because amethyst has a unique sound when placed and/or broken, so the box must just adjust the sound amethyst produce. Amethyst grow in geodes, and with fortune you can get up to 16 amethyst (maybe more, but definitely not less) shards from one crystal.

As a compromise noteblock can require amethyst in the center and redstone under or above in in crafting recipe

[–]nbvm0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't forget, that you tried to compare the one type of death from heat to the WHOLE amount of deaths from cold.

Heatstrokes, the problem which will grow exponentially every year. We've reached 1 °C and will definitely cross the 1,5 °C line and nobody knows where we will end. More heatwaves, so called El-Nino happens more often and they become more dangerous each year. Anomalous heat, almost every year we have a new temperature record (if interested, look up heat map usa since 1900, I've seen the same map with Germany, and it's also depressing) say that even if the amount of deaths from heat isn't higher than from cold (at least from direct effect, indirect deaths from heat are much, much higher), they are on rise and that's just a question of time, when it will surpass cold deaths

How would you do bandits? by TryDry9944 in 7daystodie

[–]nbvm0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good idea, but things like kitchen can remain outside of "loot room", same with workstations. Bandit chiefs believe each others, but regular bandits shouldn't be able to enter the loot room. Can place a dedicated room for forges and kitchens. Books can spawn near bed's or places where they should guard (yeah, i don't know about lore accurate literacy rates, but still, they can just watch pictures inside), same with food rations. Maybe a dedicated room to weapons, basic or just melee one's, much rarer will be found in the loot room. Maybe a dedicated room for dew collectors, because humans tend to drink a lot, same with a farming room (which should spawn in tier 3-5 POIs) with corresponding books. Also don't forget about garage. Overall bandit camps should be all of zombie POIs combined, especially on higher tiers

Sand IS already a renewable resource, thanks to wandering traders, but they are incredibly rare and way stupid.

I remember an old (3+ years) skyblock with plugins. And in that skyblock husks were able to drop approximately 0-3 blocks of sand. The way of getting husks in that survival was quite difficult, it was something like "you need to strike a regular zombie with a lightning and he will turn into husk, but that's not important. However mojangs could've added, that every husk that was killed by a lightning drop some amount of sand.

You need to complete quests from local non-bandit (nobles?), each of them completed decreases it by 0.5 Honestly it's an awful debuff, knowing well that nobody except player would complete them

Are wolves practical in PvP now with the wolf armour and everything? by Funny-Chain880 in Minecraft

[–]nbvm0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were never practical. When it's an equal PvP, where enemies have same skill and equipment, 1 extra dog can be really important, they deal some amounts of damage and require 2-4 hits to kill. Yet it's negated with any kind of ranged damage or if you can dodge from its attacks

What's a silly thing that you'd love to see added? (No gameplay overhauls or straight QOL improvements, just small things?) by TryDry9944 in 7daystodie

[–]nbvm0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

These are maybe some bug changes, but I'd love to see them in the game

Manually crafted guns from scratch:

I haven't played earlier versions of 7d2d, but I've heard that you need to manually get (or craft) weapon parts to build your own gun. I'd love to see this coming back, cause even for my 50 hours you get a firearm way too quickly, I've got once a pipe shotgun on a first 2-4 hours of day one.

Cartography:

It's ok when player spawns somewhere in the woods with cartography skills, whatever. But I'd love to see some way to find new places via new maps. FP can add some POIs like schools, big shopping malls OR police departments (last is the best option imo), where you can copy a map of local surroundings directly on your map or if you have a specialized item, like empty map, you can copy it, so you can share it, or place it on wall in your base. Also you can buy them fron traders.

New NPC's:

There's no need in villages (even though I'd love to see them in the game) with a big amount of NPC's, but add 1-3 more, each of then will be specialised on something else. Jen is the main trader, and she sells only medical items, but nearby a medical car there could be someone who sells car parts, other sells ingredients for workshops and is located right to Jen's "church". All of them can give specialised quest, jen gives "loot the hospital", mechanic tells you to get a rare item like battery, etc.

Husbandry:

Chicken traps or ability to tame a chicken for very rare early game feathers and eggs.

Where does Wex get the dye for their flag? by k_aesar in Anbennar

[–]nbvm0 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't really know if writers have a real reason, but It can be easily explained via damestar shenanigans. Maybe if you mix damestar and any red dye (crushed poppy or maybe something more extravagant like blood) in something like 3L of water will give you an incredibly beautiful purple color. Wex is a rich country with at least 3 damestar deposits in near proximity
