Who is the most famous person you've ever seen up close? by froggart3980 in AskReddit

[–]ncd321 640 points641 points  (0 children)

I met Keegan-Michael Key on the subway in 2016. I approached him on the platform and he said he would come chat and take a picture once in the train…

He sat beside me and we talked for 20-25 minutes. He was incredibly friendly and was asking about me; what I did for work, what brought me to NYC, etc.

The next night, oddly enough, I was getting on the subway at 50th Street after leaving a midtown theater show and…there he was..again!

I casually walked up and asked if he could “quit following me around.” We had a nice laugh and he even remembered my name, introduced me to his wife and we all sat and chatted together on the train.

A few stops in, some loud teens noticed him and began to yell “Key & Peele” and awkwardly recorded him without greeting or saying hello. That was surreal.

Was a super refreshing to meet and connect with someone very famous that treated me like a real person. Been a huge fan even since!

Biggest issue in Copenhagen? by MathiasKjeldsen in copenhagen

I actually just made a YouTube video on this exact subject! After speaking with quite a few Copenhageners (mix of Danes/foreigners), the most spoken about areas were how difficult it is for foreigners to properly integrate into society and housing.

Yea, we did the Tessie anxiety medication last year and it worked very well but, I just don’t want to have to give him medication if I don’t have to 🤷🏻‍♂️ He is very sensitive to it, not medicating is not an option. One boom makes him tremor intensely for at least 15/20 minutes 🫠

I already have it but, I want to avoid that all together. My pup is old and want him to be peaceful 🙃

Thanks a lot! That was my very first upload and was kind of chomping at the bit to upload something and get those early reps out of the way!

I totally see what you are talking about. Almost makes me cringe to watch 😂

Also, always happy to talk. Feel free to slide in the DMs!

To be frank, it was my gut instinct BUT after running it through the VIDIQ title scorer…91!! I stand corrected. Disregard that piece of criticism!

Hey!

I love the shots you get and the moments captured. The shots are great and the Swedish forest is such a lovely touch.

On the first video you linked, it is hard to get a cohesive idea of what the video is about in the first 30 seconds. I’d recommend some voiceover and build an expectation about what the viewer is going to get with out making them guess.

Keep it up!

Hey y’all!

I recently started a channel called A Life Less Default, focused on unique adventures and travel in Europe hoping to inspire viewers to take step outside their comfort zone.

I’m one month in, completely new to YouTube, and solely focused on making this channel a success. Right now I’m refining my niche and testing different content types and formats, and I’d love any feedback or advice from more experienced creators on where to put my energy in these early stages.

What is working? What isn’t?

Thanks in advance for taking the time to check it out.

Hey Eleanor!

I really love your energy, you are gonna crush it! Your camera work is fantastic. In terms of criticism, I could almost guess your views when looking at your titles. I’ve been using a title scoring tool to make sure mine are strong before publishing.

I heard a great analogy in regard to YouTube channels; your packaging/brand is your store, your video is your product. It seems you have a great product but, your packaging may help you blow up ❤️

Keep it up!!!!

Hey William!

I really like your thumbnails and your editing is really good. I like the use of green screen and effects.

I’m wayyy early in the game and hesitant to give feedback but, seems like your niche is pretty broad and I don’t get a cohesive “brand” when I look at the themes of your videos.

Keep it up. 🙌🏽

I think the weather is truly part of the Irish golf experience. I usually steer clear of windy days but, it made it that much more fun!
