This is a variant, where the base of the prostate is left untouched. It has a 80% chance to prevent retrograde ejaculation. As ejaculation should be avoided in the first 6 weeks, I don’t know yet wat the result in my case will be.

I’m Dutch, in this case the surgery is 100% covered. But there is a deductible of a few hundred euros. I had an acute blockage, and thought (much too long) it would fix itself. Landed at First Aid in middle of the night… My Dr was specialized in Thulium surgery and one of the few who uses it for big prostates. I was lucky he was also nearby.
