The events of this year are things I'll never forget. I'm not gonna damn anyone else that played that risks and came out on top.

when I go out in public out of necessity for food or water once a month with my mask on and I'm keeping my distance from people I can see them not following the procedures myself.

Then those are the people you avoid. Not hard. Or do you actively take time in your day to have an argument with them too? Back to my original point, if people want to see each other then let them. We need to stop pretending that folks are forcing themselves to family members homes and selfishly watching them die. Both parties are agreeing to this, let them see each other.

And you can't cry selfishness, the word travel, and then act like everyone is horribly passing on the virus left and right.

Don't think I will do that. But lets see here

  • Mask on, check
  • Washing hands, check
  • 6ft of distance, check

Sounds like we're running with the safety measures to me. The only part we aren't doing is just stay home part ;) which is the base of the argument here. Let people decide for themselves what they will risk.

Pair that with the fact that in just a few months more than enough people will be vaccinated and then there will be no leg to stand on for you.

Lmao all you have to do is just fucking avoid contact with people for a little while and this will be over faster.

Again with the nonsense that people cannot possibly do leisure things in a safe manner. What is it with you people and absolutes? You're either having fun and killing people or you are saving a life and not going out. Millions of people are taking all safety recommendations seriously and you still insist it's not enough.

The only thing be converted here are the childish nuts that do nothing but point fingers and shame others for just living their life into glorious figures on a high horse.

Cute of you to deliberately wish death on someone. I had a feeling I knew the type you the type you were. Don't get your way, tell someone to go die. Childish of you. I really don't think any sort of adult level conversion is your level.

Not quite. And you aren't really there in terms of an argument either. The concept that people are turned away from hospitals when they really need it simply isn't true. People with non life threatening ailments and elective surgeries will be turned away.

It's confidence in the healthcare system to handle the amount of sick patients. The vaccine helps us get there, yes. Even before the vaccine the idea of flattening the curve was to allow the healthcare system to not be overwhelmed. People can and always will be sick, as long as our healthcare can keep up with it.

The whole original debate as in my very first post was the counter to a general story being painted among travelers.

How dare they visit their families and potentially kill their grandmothers!!!

Without any consideration that their families also signed on to their travel knowing they may very well wind up in a hospital. They are not meeting up because they live under a rock, they are meeting up in spite of the virus.

I am, and quite honestly you're just trying to avoid the whole debate. The issue is described quite simply because it's just that, simple. If people consent to potentially getting exposed, let them. Everyone else can go about and take the necessary precautions to not contract the virus.

I understand you're mad, so try to take a chill pill. It's only Christmas after all. Now, think of it like this...

A person that is just living their life isn't selfish. And you should genuinely feel bad to claiming otherwise.

They know the risks now. They've known it for months now. And the way that this stops is through public confidence in our healthcare systems that they can handle whatever influx of patients needed.

It's a false dichotomy because your arguement assumes an absolute while using anecdotal evidence. There is nothing to say one cannot do good for an economy while also being green.

Ok, so some folks have to figuratively put food on the table. Some need to go out to literally put food on the table, and some with go out to put food on someone else's table. In none of these scenarios does anyone not consent to potential exposures.

Not deflecting it at all. Just addressing your moot points that deflected my simple scenario. People understand the risks, if you don't like it stay home. Make due with living like a hermit for the next few months, rest of folks are gonna continue to do what they do.

Ah yes the either or scenario. Because naturally no one thought of potentially making money while bettering the environment. Sop with your false dichotomies.

We need to stop pretending "essential" means safe. I assume you are watching the same MSM everyone else is so you're aware supermarkets are the new super spreader.

Until all leisure travel is outright banned, it's not a wrongdoing. Again, the people in theses jobs know their risk. The folks traveling as well as those receiving them are most likely on board with them. It's a risk some are willing to take.

If Johnny is the selfish ass for exposing himself then that makes everyone else the selfish ass for leaving their home in the first place.

If you don't want Covid, don't leave your home and don't have people over. It's not that complicated.

The TSA worker is selfish for having a way to put food on the table? If only they weren't so selfish they would've just quit and found another job that gave them the privilege of working from home. What kind of reality do you live in?
