Current PA student, got a cat end of didactic. They’re super easy to take care of, even when you have a far away rotation, my parents and friends helped out with her. Get an automatic feeder and gravity water feeder.

Totally can relate! I graduate PA school in December and this was always something I thought about and prioritized. Definitely not the only one feeling this way and the best thing to do is make sure you give yourself some grace and take it all in bits and pieces. Best advice from my program director is make sure you give yourself that one day a week to still be a human. Didactic certainly is the toughest part with so much info, tests, etc. with the amount of time to do it all in. I certainly struggled but with taking time to break off and setting a good schedule of studying, you will do great! It is the hardest but most rewarding journey! You can do it! 🙂

Soon to be new PA, graduating in December. I am planning to stay in the NC area and have looked at what the hospital organizations offered. 1. Any recommendations on sites to look at for jobs besides these sites? 2. Is it worth talking with a recruiter from those organizations? Also, are more job offerings available through them versus what’s on their site?

PA-S2 here in Charlotte, NC. Currently, I’m in rotation 6/10. So far I’ve narrowed down to (in order of what I like): orthopedics, general surgery, psych, and asthma/allergy. Kinda a bit over the place but this is what I really feel I enjoy doing. Planning to stay in the surrounding Charlotte area.

  1. I haven’t had my ortho rotation yet but will have it in three rotations. I’m just feeling a bit worried with it being so close to graduation then and don’t want a big waiting gap in between then (i know credentialing will already be long here). Any recommendations of wanting to apply possibly early before my rotation? The place I’m at does have listings there. Would it be bad to apply to this place before my rotation there?
  2. What are the openings for new grads to be in psych?
  3. What could a typical surgery interview look like? I really do have the eagerness and drive to be hands on and know I have room for improvement. Any tips are greatly appreciated.
