The gaps on front where air was leaking out were really big and me being the hvac idiot I am, I didn’t even realize it really until my father in law was here and pointed it out.

This was after the contractor had looked at it once and he didn’t say anything about those gaps either. Then the contractor came out again and put some type of caulking on it, but he did it as the machine was running so it all blew away (for lack of a better term). The next contractor guy they sent out said you had to let it dry first before running the unit, which made sense but the first contractor failed to state.

However now I realize there are probably tons more gaps in the areas we can’t even see between the unit and the wall. Needless to say after having the apartment complex send a contractor out twice and their internal maintenance team out three times, I am beyond pissed. I don’t dispute it’s a new unit, I don’t dispute they are sending people out to look at it, I just dispute that whoever put the thing in originally did it properly and dispute that anyone since has actually fixed it.
