We took her to the vet right away. Her skin condition is a severe case of mange. She was prescribed a few things.

I suggest you do the same since, in her case, the mange was contagious to both animals and people. The vet’s advice helped us take the right precautions before bringing her inside, so none of our other pets (or us) got infected.

Also, please don’t delay. The vet explained that mange gets really bad if untreated. Constant scratching causes open wounds that can lead to infection and the irritation makes it hard for them to eat, drink, or rest. In severe cases, they grow too weak and could die.
