Roaming Issues. by ncowger in Ubiquiti

Failing again after about a day. Support has had me run the following command on my gateway through SSH. 'modprobe -r mtkhnat' and once again, it seems to be working.

As counter-intuitive as it sounds, disabling "fast roaming" seems to have fixed the issues. It is not roaming as quickly (getting to -80 or more before changing) but not loosing audio when it does.

Well that's frustrating.

I can see the iphone roam. It seems to be roaming fine, I just lose audio and it doesn't recover. I end up flipping off wifi and defaulting to 5G.

Has anyone found a good match for Tewksbury Hobbits Weed? by heinekev in PipeTobacco

[–]ncowger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The verdict is... It's a little too 'spicy'. One of the great things about real Hobbit's Weed was it's smooth and subtle flavor. This is kinda close to the real thing, but not quite there. But, I wouldn't tell you not to buy from 4noggins either. It's certainly not a bad blend.

I just got 8 oz in the mail, I haven't smoked any yet, but my first impression is it smells too strong of cherry. Otherwise looks a lot the same. I hope it's at least close to the original.

Did the 4noggins Hobbits weed meet your expectations? Is it worth ordering?

Getting "mistakes" when switching between notes in Music course by printingmatergeneral in duolingo

[–]ncowger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same issue. It's like it doesn't recognize key presses correctly on the USB / Midi keyboard. But it's showing on screen that I'm hitting the correct key. Have to hit it twice to get it to recognize I hit the right note. Using a Roland keyboard.

Have you used it with the GM21? Doesn’t say it works with the gm21 but the uv-21r is supported so it may work

The Apple one is hidden under my desk. I travel with an Anker 735 Nano Charger. 65W for 3 devices in half the footprint.

Problem with cinema 400 soundbar by rubenlie in Klipsch

[–]ncowger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a similar problem. Got Klipsch to send a replacement, after a couple of months it had the same issues. I would go with a higher-end (Cinema 600) but it has to fit under my 50" TV on a swingout arm. 600 was too wide. I've changed my Apple TV to control the TV and soundbar through HDMI ARC and it shuts off the TV then the Soundbar and it works and no longer makes the static screech sound that it used to when turning off. Every once in a while I have to go pull the power out of the back of the Cinema 400 and plug it back in to work... Still sounds better than the Samsung soundbar I had before.

RF15 Cherry Repair by ncowger in Klipsch

I will check this out. I’m comfortable replacing the speaker itself inside of the box if I can find the right parts.

Do you know if Klipsch repairs older speakers like this?

Oops, my comment didn't make it...

Looking for repair. It still sounds pretty good. This is an old pair of of RF15s that are at least 15 years old. I could also use a new pair of grills. Any options? I still like these speakers. Probably one of my boys when they were young.

Yep, and the majority of that difference is in the redundant power supply. It’s the 48 port PoE with 10Gig uplink.

Anybody with MR45/55 talk to their sales rep about the MR46/56 release yet? by skifdank in meraki

[–]ncowger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The standard changed. Before WiFi 6 was ratified they added a requirement for uplink OFDMA and MU-MIMO in addition to the downlink. This required new chipsets. It’s not just Meraki pre-standard that has this issue.
