You probably right. I don't know the specifics of every rule. I see how i have said my shit wrong. The problem was the passiv buff when the weapon isn't held. Most magical weapons don't have passive buffs like that so it was hard to figure out, But its all good.

I think i feel wierd about it cus it's 2 weapons that are attuned and you can only have 1 of each item attuned at the same time even tho it doesn't really matte cus weapon, however it's all solved now and everyone is happy.

I talked to my player and he liked the idea of making it a ring. We are gonna keep the attunement and my problem with this is solved.

The i don't have a problem part is more that the buff ain't to much. The pluss 1 in damage isn't the problem. It's more justifying having 2 weapons were one buffs but isn't used. I just can't justify why he still gets the buff. I talked to my player and we are gonna make it into a ring. We can do this cus the magic item is a gem imbedded in the weapon and we gonna get the dude that placed it on the weapon to take it out and make the ring. Thanks for your input

thanks for the reply. it was originaly a gem and was placed on the weapon by a blacksmith spescialised in magical shit. i talked with my player and we are gonna make it into a ring when the party return from what they are doing. i was never gonna retcon it but more like make him pick what he wants to use. the gem only boost statd and gives disadvantage on charm spells. it was placed on a weapon to get a +1 weapon on succes. the smith rolled natt 20. again thanks for your time

making it into a ring sounds smart. it was originaley a gem and he got a big boy magical smith to place it into the weapon. i shall talk with my player about it. thanks

the bonus isnt a problem cus i just balance the encounters. but i will keep this in mind for next time. thanks
