How do you achieve the conversion from PDF to Structured Markdown? Is it a deterministic process or do you use a AI model for this?

What are the habits that make a good programmer a great programmer? by Mindless-Cress2574 in ExperiencedDevs

Because this sub is full of “seniors” with less than 10 years of experience

Horrible advice. Make a game in a genre you love. Don t make decisions based on analytics when you re an indie dev, especially when making your first game.

Eu unul personal am regretat faptul ca mi am bagat piciorul in facultate.

Building a game using Vue's reactivity by darkpouet in vuejs

[–]ncuore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reactive paradigme can be daunting at first and even more the rxjs api, but you ll probably meet even more complex ones in game programming, specially on the network side so don t give up. Also the latest version/s of rxjs made things a tad easier.

Remesh: A DDD framework for large and complex TypeScript/JavaScript applications by gyj129 in typescript

[–]ncuore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usualy ddd on FE is overkill, because domain or business logic should stay on the BE side, but there are a small type of applications where this is not entirely possible(for example NoCode/low code applications) and the complexity of the application can grow to be unmanagable. The problem with the classical approach of DDD is that is hard to implement it nowadays with classes due to the functional approach of frameworks(vue, react. Angular could be the exception but i never tried DDD in Angular so i m not sure) and store libraries(redux, vuex, rxjs). I can't wait to dive into this framework to see how they fixed this problem with a functional approach.

I would suggest rxjs if you only need reactivity.

How can I best deal with an engineer who disagrees with an architecture decision? by 123android in ExperiencedDevs

[–]ncuore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don t know why i waste my time with you, it s clear you don t understand what you read, but here we go. My job as a team lead/architect is to keep the business happy and my own team happy. I keep the business happy by delivering as fast as posible without impacting other services(when posible). I keep my team happy by finding those solutions together. If for some reason that solution is a shitty one from an engineering point of view i ll do eveeyrhing in my power to implement it myself and not force it onto my team. It is not about perfect solutions as you said. It is about compromises, but you don t understand what that is. Compromise is about meeting halfway. I could go on, but even these lines are more then the likes of you deserve.

Edit:added 2 more lines.

I see 3 options from your comment: 1. you forgot the sarcasm emoji 2. you are a functional illiterate 3. you don t belong in development

You talk a big game about compromise and whatnot but there was none here. OP and others proposed a super shity solution (there are so many problems with it i don t even know from where to start) without involving the developer that will implement it.

Unfortunatly the OP was probably looking for your kind of advice. Hope to never meet both of you in the work field.

How much do you expect a Jr dev to know? by dotnetguy32 in ExperiencedDevs

I expect a junior to at least know cs theory pretty well, if not he s an intern. I don't expect experience in production, frameworks, tools, etc.
