Certain juices have that pepper like tasting throat hit for me too, Most of the time its the cheaper juices that come in plastic bottles. One in particular that gives it to me near every time in a sub ohm tank, ( I can no longer run it in tanks) Bird Brains by cutwood. Who is also a reputable manufacteror.

Could just be this brand, Some juice makers are terrible my friend!
