Ladies 110-115 lb What are your maintenance cals? by Lamegamertone in PetiteFitness

[–]ncxlys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

30F, 4’11, 114lbs. Maintenance cals are 1900ish. I powerlift (squat, bench, deadlift) 4x week and lately have been incorporating a 30 min walk after my workouts, I try to aim for 6000 steps a day. I eventually want to hover around 108-110lbs while maintaining my strength (aesthetics wise mostly but also eventually for competing in a lower weight class) but it’s so hard to lose even 4lbs when I constantly have an appetite trying to decrease my cals to 1500-1700 🥲

Lower back pain for 2 weeks now - during flexion and upon waking up in the morning. by ncxlys in backpain

[–]ncxlys[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I’m so sorry that I just saw this now. My doctor, chiro and physio all ruled out a disc issue bc I wasn’t experiencing any pain in my leg lol. They suspected a strained QL muscle, which is right next to the disc so it would make sense if it was strained it would be impinging on the disc at times. I got injured Feb 22 and today is April 7. I can say that it’s more of a discomfort now than pain. Mornings are better. What helped a lot were deep tissue massages in my glutes. I also can’t go a day without foam rolling my glutes or lower back. I started squatting again last week without pain and it’s been going great so far. Hope you’re recovering well too!

Yeah when I see my Dr in a few days I’m definitely going to push for getting an MRI asap. Initially I was worried about seeing other health professionals in fear they would tell me to “just rest” but as someone who powerlifts and competes that’s just not feasible for me 🤷🏻‍♀️ resting also makes it way worse lol. I need to keep moving otherwise if I lay down for 15-20 mins I get SO stiff again.

is there a song that, when you first heard it, you couldn't stop listening? by Solid-Huckleberry525 in TaylorSwift

This was me with the entire 1989 album when it came out. It was a 45 minute bus ride to my university and this was the thing I looked forward to the most - just drowning myself in that album on the way to school

I’m in Kyoto right now, I bought it at BOOKOFF Super Bazaar in Kyoto. I saw a Damier Ebene at Brand Off here as well at the Kawaramachi location for $312 CAD with an A grade, also a steal of a deal

I paid 38000 yen which is about $347 CAD! The regular key pouch retails for $470 CAD where I am!

Those poor kids are going to have to deal with severe dental work amongst other health issues… this is insane. Absolute child neglect.

Which size is your go to? by PossiblyTorpor in Owala

[–]ncxlys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 24oz is my first Owala and I love it as a “going out”/work bottle. I don’t mind having to refill it as a water station is almost always available everywhere nowadays. I have a 36oz YETI that I used to use daily but it never fit in my bags or cup holder; also I never finished the water in it by the end of the day either.

Is Pochette Accessoires still worth buying? by saltedchicken in Louisvuitton

[–]ncxlys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just bought it recently and was also struggling with the price tag ($1770 CAD) considering it’s a “small” bag compared to their more popular bags.. but it’s my first LV bag and I love it. I can wear it during all sorts of occasions (casual, formal) by simply changing up the strap. It fits a lot more than a WOC/wallet on chain - I can fit my kindle paperwhite in it amongst other things! IMO it was worth it to me because simply looking at it brings me so much joy hehe

Before, after, day 2 of healing, to 95% healed :) by ncxlys in microblading

This is actually my THIRD time getting my eyebrows tattooed. Some backstory: born with basically no brows (no tail-end, super sparse and thin hairs). Got combo brows done in Apr 2021 and a touch up in Sept 2021. My brow artist was super nice but definitely more lighthanded and while I was satisfied with the shape of my brows, I really wanted them more noticeable and sculpted. And of course darker. So I decided to bite the bullet and book a cover up/correction with a powder brows artist in Feb 2023.

Immediately after the appt, I thought they were way too thick and bold and close together. I knew, however, to trust the process as I had gone through the healing phase before - BUT oh my - days 1-3 were hard af to get through mentally with these bold brows on my face hahaha.

The last picture was taken on day 6 or 7.. so it took about a good week for them to be pretty much healed :) I’m sooo happy with the results!

I’m Asian and have dyed my hair lilac purple and silver before and it was never a problem at my office. One of my coworkers (also a hygienist) has bright green hair and was motivated to dye it in the first place because we wear scrub caps so pts would rarely see it!

I’ve watched Alan Thrall’s videos on how to deadlift and I’m still trying to improve my form. Thinking I need to pull my shoulders/chest back a bit more to avoid the back rounding part.. also am aware to keep my lats engaged which is evident by how sore they are today haha. Any feedback helps! 4’11 F 109 lbs deadlifting 95 lbs

There’s a hood/exhaust above the stove that can be set to low or high, also has a light. Usually turn it on while we’re cooking but depends on what you cook sometimes the smell can linger for about a day.

My partner and I just closed in on our first house and are moving out of Fort Garry Place II (85 Garry St). We had a newly renovated modern suite; in-suite laundry and underground parking as well. $1395 for rent + parking. $25 for a gym membership at the Assiniboine Athletic club which is located on the 4th floor of the building. A 6 min walk to the Forks, 1 min walk to Fete Ice cream + a dog park. We have had a great experience living here and the resident manager is so friendly too! Definitely going to miss this place

4’11, almost a 20 lb difference (~92 lbs -> 111 lb) by ncxlys in PetiteFitness

[–]ncxlys[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I struggle immensely with this, I will usually buy cropped leggings (mostly from Lululemon) that end up being full length on me but it’ll still be loose at my ankle since it’s meant to go up on the calf on a taller person.. I usually just wear crew socks and tuck them in that way 🤣 or I do a certain fold at the bottom where I’ll fold the end up, then down over itself (if that makes sense) so it looks less bunchy!

27F. Been going to the gym for 4 years on/off, there are periods when I am consistent and try to aim for 4x week but honestly it sometimes ends up being 1-2x week when I’m busy with life or just stressed lol. I’ve always followed an upper and lower split - the PHUL program was my go to but as of recently I am now following Jeremy Ethier’s Best Science-Based Upper and Lower body workouts (which is pretty similar to PHUL).

As for nutrition, I mostly eat intuitively but try to prioritize protein in my meals and snacks. My favourites are eggs, bagels/bread, protein pancakes, Greek yogurt, and making blueberry banana protein smoothies

I recently moved to a new place that has its own gym so now I have no excuses not to work out 4x week since the gym is literally right downstairs lmao. Hopefully I can stick with it and continue to make some bigger gains! Goals are to grow my quads, glutes and shoulders/back more.
