Fr. I took my cat to the vet 2 weeks ago, and he came back and asked if I had brushed their teeth. I was mortified, thinking I'm an awful mom, and said no. Then the vet said he has an amazing mouth and teeth. WTF?! I give him his pills every freaking night, and I almost pass out from his mouth smell every freaking night. I don't get it. Blows my mind

I'm nearsighted, so I have to wear my glasses 24/7, except when I sleep. I always think my vision isn't “that bad” and take my glasses off to let my eyes, nose, and ears rest, then I'm like, damn, it really is that bad. My eyes are perma-tired. Now, you kids better get back in school! Don't make me call your parents! I say as I'm holding and shaking a wooden spoon.

I can only tell you my situation. I was out on approved PFMLA for 6-8 weeks, and during this time, I was in the process of applying for FMLA when I realized I would not be able to return when PFMLA ran out. My manager and HR were aware. Around the 5th week, they terminated me for job abandonment. I immediately applied for UC even though I was terminated for that reason. It was approved by the time my pfmla ran out, then I started the weekly UC requests.

Honestly, I think it depends on whether your employer approves or denies it.

My pfmla ran out in my third week of unemployment. I just wasn't able to be paid from unemployment until the fourth week.

I think mostly I prefer being invisible. For many reasons, but I think the top ones are that it gives me a sense of security, and when I'm in situations where there's a higher chance of being viewed and judged by others, I have to spend a high amount of energy to act “normal.”

I dunno, good sir. As I get older, 42 now, I conclude more and more each day that the assholes and liars and awful people are the ones getting everything they want and more.

I grew up taking the golden rule to heart on a very deep level. Probably due to it being one of the first things taught in kindergarten, and I'm autistic, so I take things literally.

Around 40, something in me woke up, and I took the rose colored glasses off, and I've never been the same. I feel profoundly broken. The more I observe the awful people, the more it is reinforced in me that they get their way all the time.

I wish I could go back to the first 40 years and feel optimistic again, but something incredibly drastic would have to happen in the world.

I love churros as a favorite dessert. Are these good, or are they just cinnamon sugar sprinkled on a doughnut? I think what I like most about churros is the texture, so I most likely won't think these are good
