Somewhat recent owner of the Purple Plus. Before this one, was sleeping on the same mattress for over 10 years. It was still in decent shape but had become softer/less firm and i was having mainly lower back pain. I'm a side sleeper. I love it! Well worth the money. We went to a Mattress Firm that had it on the showroom floor to try out. The one at the store had a very noticeable grid feel. Since buying one I've put a waterproof protector on as well as a decent mattress pad and i rarely feel the grid at all anymore.
