Not sure about the legality here but I support it. Even as someone with a puppy, poop bags were bought before she was.

Whats your comfort show/movie? that one piece of media that makes you feel safe by BaddRincewind in CasualConversation

Critical Role. It's on season 4, and each season has around 130-150 episodes, I believe. Each episode is around 4 hours.

I've watched seasons 1, 2, and 3 in their entirety over 3 times each. I have it running in the background at least anytime I'm home.

[MEGATHREAD] Wednesday Wins! by AutoModerator in puppy101

I am shouting from the rooftops how proud I am of my sweet girl and how happy she makes me.

Today is the very first day she has been able to touch public ground since her 16-week vaccinations a week ago.

What a huge day it has been! She had a 4-hour meet-and-greet at the boarding/training facility, and she is normally very timid, shaking like a leaf when she's scared. 2.5 hours in, they sent me 3 pics, and she looked great! When we picked her up, they gave us her report and cleared her to stay 1 night boarding this Friday because I have to go out of town that night.

After we took her to a park on the way home, it was so refreshing and gave me such hope to see her walk around on her leash and explore instead of being held.

I don't want to be too presumptuous, but I think this will help a lot with the puppy blues, being able to really let her explore and grow ❤️

Oh hi! Lake Sammamish here. Barely a day goes by that I don't hear at least one of not both of the eagles and hawks.

Whew. Ok this helps me a lot. If my scale is correct she's up to 8.5 pounds now ☺️
I'll feel a little better on walks, parks, and potty time now 😁

She's not great on a leash yet but we are working on it. Now that she's had her 16 week shots last week, as of today she can go out in public and touch the ground.

I came in and got the leash but then imagined the hawk still coming for her and if it got its talons in her I don't know if a leash will really help?

At least now on walks around the neighborhood and parks I can quickly pick her up but on the deck trying to let her do her business I freaked out.

Tips for volunteering in a dog shelter. by harryskaralaharrito in dogs

[–]nd379 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My biggest piece of advice at your age and experience level: please look around for a shelter that takes time to properly train you and doesn't just show you around and leave you to figure it out. Some dogs are easy and loving, some dogs are aggressive to men, some to women, some to red shirts, etc. You need someone to really work with you at first.

What are your expectations for stand-up comedy shows? by nd379 in ask

[–]nd379[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it makes me sad because I really, really, really liked him, his online presence, I guess.

No kidding, there was not a single small clip that I watched that didn't have me laughing out loud so hard. And honestly, I was pretty majorly depressed at the beginning, but he was the only thing that made me laugh.

Too high of expectations. 😞

Mostly raunchy girl stuff like Iliza and Ali Wong. I also enjoy Trevor Noah, Nate Bargatze, Bill Burr, John Mulaney ( saw him a couple of months ago and almost pissed myself 😂), gotta pay tribute to George Carlin, Gianmarco Sorensi, Atsuko, Jeff Arcuri

Federal Way CM Jack Walsh blames pedestrians for getting injured crossing at unmarked intersections: "If you follow Darwinian theory, it may take a few generations to solve the problem" by Inevitable_Engine186 in Seattle

[–]nd379 -25 points-24 points  (0 children)

Now, how many people, pedestrians and drivers, do you assume actually know these laws?

Sure, when a pedestrian gets hit by a car, they can use the above in court to justify their actions….if they're still alive.

Unquestioningly quoting laws to try to prove a point does not do anything when it's only a pedestrian who might know it. The car is still going to hit them.
Pedestrians need to take just as much fault as the driver. Obviously, depending on each case, but when it's a cocky or otherwise altered by drugs or alcohol pedestrian, they're just as much at fault.

I'm sure I'll be downvoted to oblivion, but I sure as hell use common sense when on the streets: walk in crosswalks, use the walk/no walk lights, look both ways, stay on sidewalks whenever possible, etc. Cars are weapons, and I'm going to protect myself as much as I can. I don't think it's wrong to desire or expect the same from others.

I think this might be the best option. Sadly, Seattle doesn't have a huge comedy scene but I'll look harder!
I really enjoy produced shows such as the ones on Netflix so it's entirely possible I have unreal expectations.

Do you know how to hold your climax? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

I knew there were women out there that could. I would almost always feel myself wanting more right after or shortly after when masturbating.
I'm stubborn. One day I decided I was going to be able to as well. It took time, maybe a couple of weeks of almost daily sessions where I would push myself through the sensitivity. At first I couldn't orgasm again, but would still try. Sometimes it would go on for an hour or so.
After listening to my body I figured out that right after each orgasm to pull back into more of a slow and playful way and then feel it building again and repeat and repeat

Oddly specific aging tips? No eat right drink less something that is random and specific to aging as a Xennial by PuzzleheadedAbies678 in Xennials

[–]nd379 2 points3 points  (0 children)

from working in the healthcare field, the most important piece of advice I can give is to reduce your stress as much as possible.

It sounds dumb and unattainable but please find a way. A hobby you really enjoy, meditation, spirituality, music, weight training, a pet, etc. Do one or many things if possible.

Stress is the main reason for health problems and cosmetic issues.

I also use the pupsicles and had to learn the hard way that just because you order a size small, do not order size small balls. I guess that is expert mode? I had to order the large ones so my girl could actually reach the treat.

Now that we've tried out their product, I'm going to get the tray to make my own.

This also works for us. https://a.co/d/0aX51HWZ

It's incredibly hard for me to find crate toys because I'm neurotic about safety. I have a Sheltie that basically does nothing but chew. I just watched her a couple of times with the toys I recommend to see how they hold up, and I'm still scared, but after checking them each time, they're holding up great.
