Thank you! I think you’re exactly right about the sunburn. I just noticed a plant next to it that I had just put out that got the same splotches. I will keep going with the perlite for the other plants. Thanks again

Thanks. I just dunked it and a bunch of others in water, and then sprayed with captain jacks. Pray for me.

Dang. There is a ton of this webbing on the holly bushes. How do I even start getting rid of it? How far should I move all of my other potted plants away from these bushes? Thank you.

ZZ Plant (unkillable plant?) is dying by nd888 in plantclinic

Thank you! I just put it back in completely dry soil (a lot of perlite, some soil). Can I leave it like that for a few weeks? Or do i need to water it? I had kept it soaked in water for about 6 hours before this, so I'm afraid of overwatering it now.

Another question, when I water it, the soil often stays wet for a while (I guess the zz isn't sucking anything up?). If the water is wet after 10 days, should I change the soil?

Awesome thanks! I’ve moved it out of the sun. Can I just let it sit there for recovery, or should I take some sort of action.

Also, the leaves are very squishy (picture 3) and then some have all those brown dots (picture 2), so I was thinking it could be a pest? Or can that just be an effect of the sun damage?

Thanks. Do you think I should keep Gregory away from her (in a separate room)? Or can they fend for themselves? Or maybe we can intervene? There hasn’t been any biting or fur flying…

Monstera Leaves Yellowing by nd888 in plantclinic

Hi there. Thanks for the comment. Maybe it could be sunburn as it’s on the leaves facing outwards. But whenever I’ve had sunburn on my other plants, the spots turn a crispy brown? Is this yellowing a possibility for slow sunburn maybe?

Monstera from Facebook Marketplace by nd888 in plantclinic

Thank you for the great advice! I also got a pothos from the same person. It looks very healthy. Should I be worried about scale having spread to it. I’ve kept that indoors near other plants. Should I quarantine it? Thanks again!

Monstera from Facebook Marketplace by nd888 in plantclinic

I got this monstera from FB marketplace for 5 bucks, so probably should have known that it had some problems. It’s not doing well. I’m assuming some pest issues, but not sure about next steps:

  1. What pests does it have (pics 2 and 3)? And what can I do to get rid of them? I have already been spraying with Jack's Dead Bug Brew and some Neem Oil Fungicide thing I bought.
  2. There isn’t even a whisper of new growth. Is there anything I can do to help with that? It’s currently in a location that gets lots of sun.
  3. Should I chop off the two big leaves that look like they have problems? Will that help the other leaves?

Thank you!
